I went here a week or two ago to get my first license, I came in an hour before they closed. The doctor was really kind, the area was really relaxed. Knowing it was my first time he gave me some advice and within the hour I was done. I got the 6 month paper, no I.D and he didn't push me to get anything more expensive. Overall great experience, doctor was super nice, prices weren't ridiculous and I was able to get it right after work.

thought to go here because of the great reviews. when i arrived, there was a sign on the door to enter through the back, but as i walked down the street to go around the building there was another door to enter the place. confusing. no one was at the desk when i went in. i picked up the paper you need to fill out from the desk and some guy came out, basically barking at me to wait to fill out the paper. he seemed really annoyed i didn't have an appointment, even though they say they accept walk-ins. i waited and he came out and tried to get me to buy a three month id for the one year price, which is SIXTY DOLLARS BY THE WAY, not like they advertise it everywhere. he was rude and i had to argue with him that it sounded like a scam and was not as advertised, eventually he caved and gave me the year for sixty. he forced me to buy the plastic id. he was going to turn me away if i didn't buy it. then his computer broke or something. i was in the place for an entire hour before i finally got my card. don't go here
I am sorry about your experience here. I find this surprising about your experience because no one else had this type of experience at our office. As you can see below we only have good reviews and you can see that on yelp as well. Our pricing is very clear and displayed at the front desk for our customers. Sorry about your experience, please contact us if there's anything we can do for you.

Ventura Medical Doctors is the only place I go for my rec every year. Easy parking in front or back and fast friendly service. The ads are a little confusing as far as understanding the fees. I paid $30 to renew yesterday Jan 3 2015 but the weedmaps ad says $24 (needs to be updated) and in the office there is a sign that says $40 renewal but on the website it says $30. Aside from that I am always very happy with my Ventura Medical Doctors.. they do things the right way there :)
I had gone here today to get my card and brought their coupon on my phone. Unfortunately I was unaware you had to bring in a printed coupon and just brought it on my phone. The guy felt bad and gave me $5 off the regular price which was nice, but I wish he would have honored the coupon. Other than that though he was very quick, efficient, and friendly. I was in and out within 15 minutes or less; definitely will recommend to others.
very professional doctor great place even took my weedmaps coupon thank you .
My card had recently expired and had gotten jipped by some incompetent office in the Valley, I was really looking for a good price considering the first time I payed was 60 (only for half a year, I know what a facking sham) I did some looking on weed-maps and saw Ventura Medical Doctors, I looked at their prices and was baffled. (40 for a year, a facking steal) I rushed my discombobulated ass to the office and was welcomed by Robert Lifson one of the doctors in the office. He also offered a physical card to go with the card for only 20 bucks which was cool but didn't have the funds all at that time for the convenience. The doctor I had visited beforehand had promoted that they sold their prices ridiculously low, but nearly all the offices lied about that deal, not fulfilling it. This office did and kept their word! I was so pleased with the whole process, he even walked me through the legal things and even took my blood pressure. Time Spent: 10min Money Spent: 40 He was on top of it all and my hat tips to them! Thank you for the great service!
I called the day before and made an appointment; the doctor was waiting for me when I got there and made the entire experience quick and simple. He was thorough in his evaluation and instructions to me. I would definitely recommend Ventura Medical Doctors!
Did a walk in and was done after 10 minutes with a card good for a year. Although I didn't notice that they charged me $40 (first time patient deal) instead of the $30 (for renewals) later on when I got home, I'm still happy since it's still a good price compared to what other places charge for renewals.
The dude at the front was a chill dude got me a discount for the card. If your going there tell them I refered you there.
I went to get my recommendation and it couldn't have been easier or more comfortable. The doctor's assistant was incredibly nice, the forms were easy and quick, and the questions were minimal and straightforward. The price is right, too. Definitely would recommend this doctor. Thanks Ventura Medical Doctors.
