Simply call us at to arrange to meet with our certified doctor. Our doctor will evaluate your condition and is authorized to issue your card. No prior evaluation is required.

The doctors that we work with at The Sanctuary are licensed from the State of Pennsylvania to legally certify patients for medical marijuana. No prior doctors consultation is necessary.

How It Works

Step One

Call to schedule an appointment to see a doctor at the Sanctuary. You will need to register with with the state using the above link. The system will give you a patient ID number that the medical doctor will upload at your appointment to update your records to reflect that you have been certified for medical marijuana treatment.

Step Two

Consult with the doctor for 10-15 minutes to evaluate your ailments and ask questions you may have about medical marijuana treatment. Your certification will be issued at your appointment.

Step Three

After you have certified by the doctor you will need to login to the account initially used to register and submit a $50 fee to the MD department of health. The MMCC will mail you medical marijuana card to the address on your driver's license that you used to register initially.

Once your medical marijuana card arrives in the mail you may visit any dispensary in Maryland to purchase medical marijuana. An initial visit with a dispensary pharmacist is highly recommend. A Dispensary pharmacist has been trained and certified on the best treatment for you.

About Medical Marijuana in Maryland

On December 1, 2017, after five years of delay, Maryland's medical marijuana program became operational and sales began. This legalized the sale, possession and use of medical cannabis. To obtain a medical marijuana card and obtain medical cannabis from dispensaries the patient must be a Maryland resident. A MMCC-approved doctor must verify the patient’s medical condition in order to acquire certification.
