I went over to the office - which is hidden around a corner - and finally went in - only to see a sign on the door that there would be no doctors available today - not updated on Weedmaps (which I checked before I went). The long-haired lady who came to the front was also unhelpfull when I asked if she knew another place that would be open - and she responded with derision that she "doesn't refer" to other doctors. While this is understandable in the industry - the customer service skills here will not bring me back.
This place is nonprofit. This place cares. This place is huge (for a marijuana doctor). This place is ethical. A registered nurse takes your vital signs. A qualified doctor reviews your condition. They only charge if the doctor approves your recommendation. They have free multimedia shows every Friday night. Their nurse hosts a radio show on AM 1050 on Monday nights. Their price is low. Their receptionist is intelligent. They have a good bulletin board. They have a good, clean office that is not run by cynical young people, the way most of the other clinics are. They have free coffee on certain days (when some guy named Victor is there.... guess he's the coffee maker guy). They have plenty of parking. You could save 9 dollars going to one of the more discounty clinics. But is that worth it? I think not. Spend the $49 and get a legitimate recommendation, without hassle. If you're a first timer, do not worry about the doctor second guessing you. Unless you're an idiot, he won't do that. There are hundreds of conditions marijuana provides relief for. Just tell the truth about what ails you and get your recommendation. And listen to the radio show their nurse hosts, Monday nights at 6pm on AM 1050, KCAA radio (except on certain baseball game nights). I'm not connected with this clinic. I'm just a patient of theirs and a fan of theirs.
Everyone here is so nice, helpful and caring. Thanks for the great service!
I did a lot of research prior to actually committing to a specific clinic for my recommendation, and I'm so glad I did! The office staff here was great. Very knowledgeable, kind, and professional. The difference here is that you're seeing an actual RN, and an actual MD, which makes your recommendation ACTUALLY legal. The process was easy, but thorough. Don't be fooled by these pop-up clinics who advertise too-good-to-be-true prices. I did my homework, and $49 for a rec is a fabulous price, especially with 24hr verification. If you're reading this, trying to find the right clinic for you; you've found it.
I will be back next year for my renewal!
