Went in for a renewal today because my go-to doctor is out of town on vacation. The Doctor refused to provide a cannabis recommendation because he feared being contacted by the police. Legal matters should have nothing to do with Medical matters. I have held a recommendation for over 4 years.... These events lead me to believe they have zero compassion towards patients looking for safe ways to accessing medicine. It really is just about the money.
I went in for a renewal and had a much different experience than one year ago. First: the website needs updating. When I called I was told service is now only first come first serve – Wrong. I was the second in line when the place opened and I was the 5th person seen. Why? Because, as the unfriendly, rude office/reception person explained, I made the mistake of missing one small initial box on the side so I waited another hour for my turn. Beside the long wait, when I inquired with staff (who were friendlier than the front person) about the front person’s attitude, I was told she owns the place. Look, I’m disabled and I sure as heck don’t want grief especially to get a renewal – I don’t care what her issue is (I'm told it's just her personality) but that's not the service I want to pay for…I’m going elsewhere.

I recently went in here to get my 1st card. I explained to the staff there that I did not have a doctors referral. They said that was okay and to get one and fax it over in the next 3 months. When I went in for the video conference with the doctor he said he could do nothing for me because I did not have a referral from another doctor. I was not upset with him but more with his staff that could have saved me an hour of my time spent in the waiting room. If you go here be sure you know the rules or hope the staff on hand is competent to do more than take your name and blood pressure. I did not see a wheelchair ramp if you are in a chair. I saw a guy hobble in and then had to have his wheelchair brought in for him.
I went in today to get my first referral, friendly staff, easy place to find, and very fair prices. The only thing is that you have to get there as soon as they open like I did otherwise you'll end up having to wait 2 hours for a refferal. I also wish they were open more than just three days a week, although they have very decent business hours. Overall I recommend Pacific Referrals just make sure you get there at 12:00 as soon as they open like I did.

I'm on my second referral from pacific referrals. After filling out my app and medical history form, I was taken immediately to the doctor's office, had my vitals checked, had a consultation and was out the door to kick off another year of 215 compliance. Does that sound too good to be true? The charge for the exam and referral cost 50% less than the going rate and what I had previously been paying.
This is the kind of service and spirit that *our* community needs more of.
