In the 3 years that I have been visiting this service, the doctor is the only thing that has changed. The receptionist is extremely cheerful, very polite, and extremely efficient. Nothing about the process has changed, sign the paperwork, video-chat with a physician, receive your rec., pay the fee, go about your merry way. In both San Diego and Santa Cruz, I've never had a problem using my rec.
Got my rec here. Had no problems. Mine expires soon so I'll be back to renew.
Great reception, hassle free process, great price and results. I received my rec and they are very pleasant to deal with. I have never had any issues with the validity of my rec. When it it time to renew, then I will be back and look forward to it!

You should say you are closed on Sunday's because I came here since weed maps says you are open.
Same great reception. Same hassle free process. Same satisfying results. Got my rec. and have never had any one question its validity. I look forward to returning again when the time comes.
I visited this Doc a year ago, was quick, his team was friendly and fast. I have never been denied by a dispensary. I will be returning soon for my reneweal. ~ Lauren B
I visited this Doc about a year ago. Had no problems. The staff were friendly, the process was easy, and I have never been denied service by a dispensary or delivery service. Will be returning soon for my renewal.

I was skeptical about this place to begin with because their prices are so cheap. Marnie was the receptionist and she was awesome and welcoming, but I feel deceived by her. She explained how everything was going to work and that we would talk to doctor Bob on skype. I had a weird feeling about that to begin with. I asked her how would he sign my recommendation and Marine explained that she would stamp his signature. I asked Marine if that was legit because from everything I read is that it needs to be hand written not stamped. Marine went on with this explanation about a different doctor losing his license and those patients had to come get new cards from this location and how everything is totally legit. I was still skeptical but went on anyway and got my recommendation from this location anyway. She printed out my recommendation on a regular piece of paper and stamped it with doctor Bob's signature and it just looked so fake. I used my recommendation at 2 dispensaries and they took it with no problems. I tried to go to a dispensary downtown and they informed me they couldn't take it and that it was not legit. I felt swindled and lied to. Don't let it happen to you.
This is a unique medical program that I walked into (there are NO appointments) during their short span business hours of 12-noon to 4 pm, or as Marnie, our receptionist/blood-pressure taker, paraphrased as their motto, "Our hours are short, but we get a lot done!"
Dr. Bob works several sites from his desk, in rotation around the county. As people collect between the hours of 12 and 1 pm, every body in the room (8-10, on my day) has filled out their (5) page forms and has been listening to Marnie talk bout local MJ offerings in the area and MJ updates and she fills the time quite seamlessly with taking B.P's and filling out the (1) yr. permits.
Then Dr. Bob is cued to a flat-screen in a private room, and one by one (first come, first seen) the patient will sit in a chair and talk to Dr. Bob: (i.e:, I've had a chronic, lower back problem since 1983, was never diagnosed by a Dr., but only find relief in cannabis. I use no other drugs for pain or alcohol.)
Dr. Bob has your blood pressure results and will ask you general questions about your health. He recommended cannabis salve for my lower back - then asked me if I wanted a prescription for (1) yr?
And because every cell in my body is totally saturated with tHc, I had the presence of mind to ask, "Unless I can have one for 2-yrs.?"
"Nice try", he smiled.
The path to follow: Look in the back pages of the Reader. They run a 1/4-page ad (ain't free) with the words "Medical Marijuana Cards" in large headings. There's always a dark-haired smiling lady, in blue-scrubs at the bottom-right corner.
And "Get Your Grower's License Here" Vista, Santee, Pacific Beach. I went to Pacific Beach. 2180 Garnet. 2180 is in large letters on the north side of the street. The facade of the complex is undergoing construction.
Take the coupon from the Reader with you. New Patients: $30. Renewals $20. If you don't take the coupon you're going to feel like a dog.
I think it took me 1-1/2 hrs. to get my 2014-2015 paper renewed... $20. :-)>
The staff here was very friendly however the prices listed online and in the San Diego Reader are misleading. It says $20, but when I arrived the guy told me the prices changed and that was the price was for 3 months! The price for a year is $60 dollars. Overall the place is easy to find, the staff is friendly, and there was no wait when I went there on a Friday, however I don't like their business practice of advertising "$20 Renewals" when this is only for 3 months, this should be specified in the ad.
