Nice Place. Little Pricey. Weight Off On Meds.

I just happened to be in Davidson (not where I live) and remembered this place, had been once before. Needed to grab some meds so I swung by. Very nice place. Knowledgeable staff. The quality of meds does not justify the cost on some items. On straight flower the strains that test 20% and higher are easily $17.00 a gram. You won't get any strain of quality for under $15.00 a gram. Then on other items they have a great deal like $20.00 a gram Moon Rocks that were nice and soaked in hash oil! Unfortunately the 3.5 gram bag I bought of Moon Rocks weighed out to only 3.31 grams on my scale. That was unfortunate. The prerolls I bought at $9.00 a piece of one of their top shelf strains was a good smoke, but a pretty loose & light roll. If they step it up they could be a GREAT place. But I'll probably stay away.

My only spot

This is the only place I've gone for the last year and a half. Tim and Kelly run a great shop. Kelly is always wonderful and a pleasure to do business with. My complaint is small but important to me. We really need labels again. I need my meds to be consistently and completely labeled so I know what I have. Please bring them back soon. Thank you. ☺️

Makes me sad

1 person thought this review was helpful

I want to start out by saying the bud they have is good. You have to check your bags because they keep the bud in safes in ziplock baggies with minimal labeling. A lot of times I found myself correcting her, and she had to go back and get the correct bud. Kelly is very helpful, and knowledgeable in her product. She doesn't just say what you wanna hear, and actually uses the product, unlike her co worker, Amanda. Amanda is extremely unprofessional. She honestly gives the impression she is using something more than marijuana....if you catch my drift. I'm not even judging the girl, I'm generally concerned as someone who has struggled with addiction. She's rocking back and forth, constantly wiping her nose and face (something I did when I was on heavy narcotics), and forever shaking her legs. Her speech is very slurred, and she agrees with everything you say and says every strain is her favorite, and then tells you she doesn't smoke in the same sentence.

MichiganCaregiver420 First off, allow me to state that I spent 5 years working in the mental and behavior health field, followed by 10 years in the genetics field (NIPT, Carrier Screening, Cancer research). Second, I am a caregiver, whom supplies meds to this compassion center. While these observations are accurate to a person on recreational drugs, the markers also point to a condition consistent with either cancer or leukemia. As one who has experienced loss and as such, has dedicated their life to the health of others, it is important to remember that each of us choose to help others in our own way, regardless of current circumstance.

Owner??

1 person thought this review was helpful

Honestly is there even an owner or boss here? YRC WAS my favorite dispensary, until about a week ago. I've now had it and left tonight to go somewhere else. Kelly used to help me really look into strains and give me a lot of insight and research, but now she just walks away and dives into paperwork or something near the register or window. Or she's complaining about the other employee, Amanda. She was always very off putting until she opened up recently and started to be kinder. But every time I'm in she doesn't record my points that I spend, gets pissy when you ask questions or ask to roll, and acts like she's on literal CRACK! She claims it's home made rick Simpson oil that she's on (which she sells on the side through YRC) but she cannot speak straight, barely looks you in the eyes, is constantly swaying and moving back and forth, bobbing her head, walking in circles, everything just screams crack, drugs, and god damn unprofessional!

MichiganCaregiver420 I remember my first patient, that I had been supplying butter. When I first grew to the point where I used flower instead of trimmings to create butter, he called me up, in hysteria, that I had laced the butter. I, calmly, explained that the absorption rate of an oil was limited by the quality of the product. He was slow to comprehend, but eventually realized, that he was simply experiencing superior end-product. It was my fault by not informing him, but I have had the same experience with RSO. There was an instance of me yelling, at my Vietnam Vet father, that he had laced the RSO with LSD, and he merely laughed, stating, "son, you are not used to being high". I laugh now, but at the time, the vibrating-tunnel-vision almost lead to a call to 911. We are pioneers of this medicine, and, as such, there is still insight to be learned.

My trip in.

Most of the strains were lack luster, those that were good were way overpriced. Back to the Clubs

MichiganCaregiver420 I am a Silicon Valley Engineer, whom, is also a botanist. I spend, at a minimum, 240 hours per life-cycle, tending to my beauties. For a 4-month life-cycle, that cost, in time alone, is mind-boggling to most. The simple statement is, if you want 18-year-old Macallan, don't expect to pay for bud lite. That being said, the simple rule of commerce is product cost x 2 = shelf price. The dispensaries have the cost of operations + the cost of product. If you want cheap, untested product, I'm sure the clubs can offer you possibly-pesticide-laced, for-profit meds, that will do more harm than good. For me, I will stick to my product and test pesticide clean, and offer that to the dispensaries as an organic product.
