Overpriced dark setting reminds me of a back alley! Will never return
I have never heard anyone describe our store as looking like a back alley. In fact, most people say it's the nicest setup they have ever seen. I'm pretty sure you have the wrong store entirely. Also, it is not uncommon for our competition to write intentionally bad reviews. I have noticed that some of the most terrible stores in the state have some of the best reviews because they get their friends to write fake reviews... Our store speaks for itself and it always has.

We make it a point to consistently have quality, tested medicine. Our customers expect continuity and selection. We have something for every price range right down to 10 dollar grams and five dollar medibles. Our pricing is an adequate representation of the value of the product, and we go out of our way to have more selection of products. We are a one-stop shop.

To start on a positive note, the atmosphere in this dispensary is very relaxing and nice, but that's the best thing about it. You're only shown one bud of each strain and wasn't offered to be shown more or smell it or anything. I didn't purchase anything except an overpriced preroll because I wanted to like the place. I think the medicine is prepackaged which is weird. There's much better quality and priced medicine close by, I wouldn't make this your first stop.. Oh and no first time patient deals. Boooo.
Pre-packaging is the only sanitary way to do it. It's the one of the many reasons why people who are actually sick come to us. Nobody likes to see their weed dished out from a giant jar that everyone has had their hands in. That is specifically one of the most complained about things that other provisioning centers do. You don't give someone with no immune system a sandwich baggie from a communal jar, you will do actual harm to people that way.

Totally disappointed, 1st visit, needed renewal and medicine. I was greeted by a professionally dressed man (scrubs). He sits behind a glass window and greets patient, while going through old vertical metal detector. Safe? Maybe, small place. He was not able to provid me with anything. No doctor absolutely no medication. I respect they follow rules, but not even a doctor name or dispensaries that might be helpful. Now 2nd visit, I really thought I was in for a treat😃Nope! Knowledge of chemicals? Definitely. I'm shown a small jar,lone bud, in order to smell product. Selection limited,pre-packaged, unable to choose whichever package, dispensed from behind or under counter, tossed in a bag, rolled up and handed to me. Cost? Ridiculous! $50 wasted! I get home, excited he talked so highly of "pure quality" I open this bag presealed, turned to powder or kief, only words to describe. I also purchased a Ganga Grape soda $12. During the transaction I asked, 1st time patient reward? He only gave me $2 off soda! Not even equal to 1/2 gram of $5 gram! If anyone considering going to StarBuds? RECONSIDER!
We always provide information and even a coupon for people to get certified through Intessa. We no longer do certifications here. Yes we do follow the rules, and as far as giving you a doctor name or dispensary that might be helpful, we simply do not know and we are not going to guess. I would have invited you to call around to other shops or get on Weedmaps to find out what paperwork they accept, we do not keep track of what other places are doing or what paperwork they accept. The products are pre-sealed because it's the only truly sanitary way to have a product. Sick people generally do not want to have it weighed up in front of them out of a large jar after everyone and their brother has touched it. I'm sorry that you didn't appreciate the discount either. I like the vibe in StarBuds. It's not a huge place but they make it a relaxing and comfortable place to be. Parking is never a problem and I didn't notice any physical accessibility concerns. I also appreciate that they had a typed list of all their strains and had them separated by Sativa, Hybrid, and Indica. The budtender seemed knowledgeable and was friendly.
But here's the negatives. The price is really exorbitant for most folks. I get that they are trying to fill a niche around 'chemical-free' meds and that I get that lab testing costs money. But really, for a working-class town with lots of other less expensive dispensary choices, it doesn't make sense to use StarBuds as your go-to dispensary. It makes me wonder if they are trying to keep certain people out of their store. The other problem, as others have mentioned, is that I had an issue with being given the wrong medicine. Though I asked for one strain, when I got home the bottle was labeled with the name of another strain that was not as expensive as the one I paid for. I don't know whether the label was wrong or whether the strain wasn't what I asked & paid for. Other reviewers have also mentioned this as a problem. It might be helpful for StarBuds to start showing the patient the containers prior to wrapping them up in a bag. It also would not surprise me if the quality of bud received was different from the display, since we have no idea how long those pre-measured packs have been sitting around.
If it ever happens that you discover the wrong thing in your bag, you can call us immediately. We have always been able to remedy the situation on the rare occasion that someone got the wrong thing. We have even driven for hours to the ends of the state just to correct things like that because it's important to us that our customers get exactly what the pay for. I'm sorry that you got the wrong thing and we would have easily corrected it for you if you had called us. Someone is always here to answer the phone 10-7.
As far as "keeping certain people out of the store"... well, that just makes no business sense whatsoever. We want EVERY patient to come into the store and that's why we offer grams starting at $10 as well as individualized guidance for people who need to know about MMJ.
