Branch Out and Try Their Trees

So I have to admit that when a friend of my boyfriend told me about this place because it was his favorite dispensary I was kind of already sold because he is a cannabis connoisseur so I knew I could trust his judgement.

I expected the place to be legit but RiverRock is by far one of the most aesthetically pleasing dispensaries in all aspects. The tenders are so personable and make my purchasing experience relaxing and effortless. They give excellent recommendations and carry only the finest selection of strains. I mean even their "best value" is top notch bud. They also offer $20 1/8th bins of sativa and indica strains that I raid every visit and let me tell you, that selection is impeccable. And from time-to-time you can find some pretty incredible deals like over 9g of some fire shake for $25. Can't find that in many places. Furthermore, it has such a modern yet classy atmosphere. I could kick it at this place all day burning trees and enjoying the company of some of the chillest folks I've met in Denver hence why I go there at least once a week. It's my main squeeze and so long as I'm in the Denver metro area I will continue my loyalty to RiverRock South! Salute!

Sad situation

This was the premier cannabis store in Denver and maybe US. Money obviously became the most important factor. The store was going down hill before Rec, with Rock Butter leaving and starting to charge by the hundredth of a gram. After Rec with Scott leaving I will never walk in the doors again after spending many thousands. I hope you guys can get back to the old North days

Scott Never grew for us, the grower producing RD strains is still working in house. Also we have Flat Rate pricing, we Do Not charge by the hundredth of the gram. Lastly we had to cancel our RockButter program and are working diligently with the state to reopen our labs as quickly as possible as to start producing Live Resin and Shatter again for our patients.

Best rep. of CO

So i dont know about the guy below, but feeling like i know my stuff and have been my own caregiver for awhile, i made them mine not even a week ago...

I have only come to the south location, but have been nothing but impressed every time i come in. Very nice people, knowledgeable, and a great variety every time. REAL STRAINS, kromes white, real chems, FIRE og, come on, if you're looking for those run of the mill strains and not amazing 100% organic, then dont go here LOL. amazing pricing, good nugs, great edibles and selection (their teas are awesome). and i wont even get started on stocking essential extracts and their own rock budder!!!
True representations of the real deal strains, and all done right. burn to a great white ash and taste through down to the last puff on a pre-roll. I love this place! it really doesnt get much better, as far as any medicinal (CBD products) needs, flowers, people and pricing.

Thank you for doing what you guys do. Party on!

I went to Riverrock South, to check out the reputation. I am an avid cannabis consultant, and have been around since before Colorado's, big, boom. I have been once again disappointed in the quality. I checked out product from all shelfs. Bottom looked done in a bucket mass produced and poorly tended to. The top shelf was even worse off than the bottom. Sour tunami really, there was no Original Sour nose, bud formation was poor, crystals looked ok prob why they sell it.Looks good 98% of people will buy it. This OZ i took home, rolled my first joint and was irritated. The budtender dude wanted to tell me they do 14 days of flush, when that weed tasted of synthetics. He also went on to tell me its all organic. HA! really if your runnin a Organic line like Cutting Edge Solutions, or Foxfarm ect you do not have the chem taste to it sorry just dont. YOUR BUD TENDERS NEED TO BE TRAINED BY YOUR GROWERS TO OFFER PATIENTS GOOD INFORMATION NOT BULL SHITING THERE WAY THRU SOM CUTE ACT. Im tired of excuses and bad quality meds in CO, You herb isnt tended well, isnt feed well and isnt cured well you sell dry product that tastes like shit. NOT IMPRESSED

We actually we do grow everything in soil (10gal), and we actually do flush our product for a min of 14days but it is more like 21days. We use nothing on the plants such as bud harder, hormones, chemical sprays, or anything in our nutrients that is not organic based or organic. The Sour Tsunami is not your typical cannabis plant as it is one of the worlds first Sativa Non-Psycho Active Based flower. The genetic ratio is 15% CBD, 9.7% THC, and 1%CBN. The flower itself is not like every other flower most patients are used since all other flowers or psycho-active (meaning very high THC to very low CBD). The flower is famous because we use it mainly for extraction purposes. Thus the 1st Place CBD Award in this year's High Times Cup. Keep in mind there has never been a CBD Concentrate ever entered to ever win with proof of a CBD Concentration. The terps & flavor of the Sour Tsuanmi is most penchant Earthy smell and may not be desirable for most that try to smoke it. We also make our CBD Tea's, CBD Tinctures, and CBD Pain Relief Rubs. The Bud Tenders are trained by a grower/owner who has been doing this for a long long time. Now what separates our center from most is the fact that we offer our primary patients what we call the Preferred Patient Program. Since we grow everything in house and can track it from seed to sale we no have extended the ability to Pre Order the best buds first and before it hits our shelves. Essentially all the heady buds and premium or Top Flight get pre ordered and packaged before it ever hits our shelves. This is the South store so it doesn't even have Top Flight Series available for non-members, and doesn't get product released 2 times a day like our main store at North. We put our primary patient first and try to do everything ewe can to get them what they need with the best quality. The rest will than hit the shelves, and that is bought up by nonmembers or some primary patients not using the Preferred Patient Program. I can certainly understand if you purchased Sour Tsunami expecting it to respond like a normal Sour D the disappointment. However, it is probably the best strain on the market or nerve/chronic pain without any head response. Our trimming and curing protocol: We wet hand trim 70% of the plant & 30% machine trim the lower portion of the plants. The wet hand trim divided 50/50 and immediately frozen for for our Essential Extracts Solvent-less Wax/Hash, The other hand trim is used for our RockBudder Powders. All hand trim is hung dry on the stick, than removed for cure (kept at 72degrees 45-55% humidity) for 10days. The top portion of the plant goes to Primary Patients first and released on the Top Flight & Premium Shelfs first. The lower portions of the plant are turned into joints, bi products, or best value buds. Most of the Best Value shelf is production strains and machine trimmed. The reason for this process is we need fresh wet and dry machine trim for our Tinctures, Salves, Activated Oils, Tea's, etc. We have nothing to hide and do the best we can for our patients. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, but making statements that are false as you just did is just plain wrong.... especially when you don't really know what your talking about your just shooting from the hip. If you would like to go in depth beyond this I'm open for discussion anytime at our north location. Just walk in and say you want to speak to Tony. Thanks for the feedback.

I went here after seeing all the great advertising and the reputation this place was building so I thought I'd give it a try....I'm extremely picky about my flowers and I ask a lot of questions about strains, genetics, etc. The budtender knew about the grow method used, two week flush, etc...but when I asked him about the genetics of the strain he didn't know....luckily I did so I purchased, went home, fired up the volcano....then promptly went back when I could to return what was left after not being able to finish it-- the taste was horrible. They were nice about the return and I went through all the strains i saw this time in detail...nothing too impressive looking or smelling in the indica realm which is where I live... Got some purple nepal that looked horrible but tasted ok and was actually pretty strong medicinally. Great atmosphere, nice shop and nice people...just didn't live up to the hype.

Hi there, I have had RR South signed up as my caregivers for months now, and decided to go with them because of their excellent buds and considerate staff. For the first few months, all was well. Then I realized that the only way for me, a "member" to get my hands on any of my preferred meds was to call early in the morning and put them on hold, as once I would be able to get there after work chances would be that what I needed would be gone. So...this is just what I did last week on First Friday, or their "customer appreciation day." Pretty ironic considering I felt the LEAST appreciated I ever had on this particular occasion. I called in the morning and spoke with what seemed to be a competent employee, she took down my order and told me she would call with any questions or updates. Great! Never heard from her, so as always I assumed my order would be waiting for me. Got there and had to wait 20 minutes to get the attention of a budtender- then they retrieve my meds and it is an eighth of each strain instead of the quarter I had requested. And after having gone here for these exact same strains numerous times, I was shocked by the "shake popcorn" quality of the buds that they had put aside for me, "the appreciated member." So they not only screwed up my order by simply missing a crucial step in customer service-REPEAT BACK THE ORDER TO CONFIRM-but they also severely disappointed me by giving me what looked like the end of the jar and charging me full price. My head really started to steam when I noticed the Cat. kush in the bag they had set aside for me looked like crap- and then they had a nice new jar of fresh fat buds sitting there on the shelf, for all those non-members who don't even have the ability to call ahead! And to put the cherry on top, I somehow, even with a 20% discount, got charged $185 for an oz. Not sure how this occured as it is more than I have ever payed for an ounce there regardless of the strain. The clueless and fumbling cashier told me that it was because they had some new price point and that one of the strains I got (to of course replace the HALF OZ that was missing from my order that morning) was more expensive. REALLY?? I don't know how you are going to keep patients like me who choose this place for the quality and service. I would potentially contribute thousands of dollars a year to your business (and BTW you are growing 18 plants in my name) but if there is no distinction between you and "other places" I would rather go somewhere else for subpar, stemmy buds and shit customer service. I even called right after this experience to request the owner, but the person who picked up the phone at the North store just let me know "I am sure we might be able to do something." Here is something to do: start genuinely appreciating your members!!

I'm one of the owners.. Tony, and to hear this for the first time is really disappointing I would have to agree. Most that know me know I work daily in both shops from seed to sale monitoring everything, and trying to develop systems in place so we don't have issues like. This part of the reasoning is after the cup we got hit by a wave of popularity. Non-members increased like 40%. We raised those prices and been trying to restrict non-members. I also blew out my knee and was in recovery for several months. I'm working on a new POS release and a few apps this week to ensure you get the quality meds and great pricing with the right service. I have had the same patients since 3 years ago, and throw those parties for patients and the artist we are trying to support out of my pocket. So your right I'm back walking around, and making the necessary changes to get it fixed. Starting this week I have new systems in place, and will have a better Reserve protocol and understanding for the bud tenders. If you would call the South store leave a message for me (Tony), I will call you back and do everything to make it right. You have an owners attention and I do care. I'm a patient too just got really behind since the cup and I personally apologies to you.

Went on a Saturday when selection was little low, which is ok I guess. I heard that the new stuff was coming in a little later, but it made my selections very obvious with what was left at the time. The main reason I came in was because of the 15% off advertisement on maps, my previous visits had been good enough to come back for that. Still I ended up at $147 for a half 0 after tax. That left me a little confused, even now looking at the prices I'm not sure how this happened. The guy tried to explain it to me that they had raised their prices and that was not what was shown on the site, my main problem. In addition to that raise was the non-members raise, which I actually do understand. The thing was though there were two people in the store. My budtender who was a ok guy and trying to be helpful. And some guy on the couch on his laptop that was just ranting about the new product. This guy was pretty defensive when I brought up the price and told me they don't even HAVE to sell to people who aren't members, which makes sense. But came off as snotty and I really doubt that they would want their customer bases comprised soley of members. Which if that is the thinking then make it a closed co-op. I don't mind. I just mind paying more then I was shown online and it being more than I pay at 80% of other places for the leftovers before the new stuff gets there. Then being talked down to from the guy who wasn't even helping me, at least thats how I took it. I guess it's just a difference of what feels comfortable for me and this didn't. So I probably wont go back, but since I'm not a member I doubt I'll be missed. Meh...

Ksinz. We appreciate your feedback, pricing concerns, and understanding of the non-membership vs member benefits. The guy on the couch is also the one writing this response, started the company, and has had the same patients for over 2.5 years before we opened our centers. So I apologize to you if that Saturday I came off wrong, made you feel uncomfortable, unwanted, or ripped off. My #1 goal since we started RiverRock is to ensure our members are able to access their meds. You visited our center in this 2 week transition period. Our staff as of that Friday was just getting up to speed with the new pricing, restrictions, and adjusting etc. Self included. It can be stressful to run low or even out of certain products. Up until recently we allowed non-members to purchase up to 2oz per visit at the same list pricing as our members, but without the daily benefits. Since we won 3 awards at the Denver Medical Cannabis Hightimes Cup, we had not been able to maintain the same level of service for members & non-members until the recent changes. The non-member restrictions were only temporarily put into place until we could restore the proper balance with servicing our patients. With that being said you are right about pricing. WeedMaps only allows for us to show 1 price not both members & non-members so we advertise member prices. Also if you did pay for a 1/2 based on non-member prices it should of been $125 + Tax. That doesn't match what you posted so we would return the additional funds to you without an issue. That was our first day on the new pricing & POS. We strive for perfection, but sometimes we do make mistakes. We are more than willing to fix the mistake, and offer you member pricing with an additional 15% discount should you try us out again. We have already restocked our inventory, and the non-member restrictions are slowly getting lifted. Thank you again for giving us a chance to correct the situation, and for your understanding of the situation. It is not because we don't want to serve you we are just trying to keep up with demands of our product.
