As seen in the February 2015 HIGH TIMES (our 7th time being featured! – the most EVER), we are America’s Highest Garden. We believe our high altitude mountain environment, with some grow operations above 10,500 feet, is the differentiating ingredient that enables us to grow truly unique, world class, hand-crafted cannabis. Whether we deploy soil-organic or the latest hydroponic techniques the end product is second to none. Combine that element with our master growers wealth of experience and daily hands-on devotion to each plant throughout its lifecycle, and the result is a premium, pure and clean cannabis product rarely found anywhere else in the world. We are America’s Highest Garden. We are High Country Healing.
At High Country, our mission is growing the world’s premier, sustainable and pure cannabis. It is our greatest passion, and admittedly an obsession, but it is our relationships with our customers that really keeps us going. We hand select the best of the best strains, and take great care to nurture and foster the most exquisite characteristics of each plant, lovingly growing for our customers medical and recreational needs.
In order to serve these diverse requirements of our patients, we view world class customer service and extensive cannabis knowledge as a prerequisite to be a High Country Budtender. Our friendly, warm, and caring employees are similar to wine sommeliers, offering detailed descriptions of everything from potency and terpene profiles to genetic origins. We understand each of our patients is different and endeavor to dial in an offering as unique as you are. That’s why we stock our shelves with over 20+ cannabis varieties at a range of prices to suit every budget and invite you to PYOB: Pick Your Own Bud! That’s right, say goodbye to the prepackaged shake at top-shelf prices you find at other dispensaries, and visit the High Country family at one of our many locations for a fresh, friendly, and caring cannabis experience. We’d love to see you and help you embark upon your own personal cananbis journey.

Stopped in here on accident, it's the "highest dispensary in the world" which was cool. But it's a small business feel, you don't feel rushed or out of place as most tourists do in Denver or the springs. Very knowledgeable and friendly, make me and my dad feel welcomed. Will definitely be back and you definitely should stop in and see them!
up until this week i had what you call a devastating drug problem. smack, whack, and even a little bit of the crystal. anything and everything i could get a hold of until i stumbled open this lovely place! now after only smoking there weed for 3 days, my life has turned around. i quit stripping, got visitation rights 3 weeks a year to see my kids and i quit everything hard (except for meth... you got any) ok im kidding but for real i come to colorado 8 to 10 times a year and this has been one of the best shops i have come across, great prices and a great stuff! am definitely going back.
i work down in Denver and have had the opportunity to visit many dispensaries, and these guys are up there with some of the best.
I stopped in this weekend and was completely blown away. Take a look around you and feel the atmosphere of not just this store but the people who work so hard to provide such a quality service. Coming to Alma and High Country Healing was the best decision I have made. I have been all over the state looking for the quality and care taken to provide the type of product these guys have.
- the presentation of their product is immaculate. Each strain has been put through the rigourous test of quality. These guys do not produce something they themselves wouldnt be happy paying for.
- the knowledge of their product is extremely valuable. I had many questions of tbe strains available. Their motivation to go above and beyond with in depth effects and healing qualities of each was mind opening.
- these guys are happy to be doing what they are doing. You won't find a bad attitude in this establishment. It was a home feeling walking in.
- by far the best leaf I have found in Colorado yet. High potency strains. Rare strains and desired quality.
Thanks, it was awesome Brian & LJ you guys are the good people doing great things in the reformation.
Alma is a beautiful town. I was visiting Fairplay for some trout fishing and decided to check out the marijuana in the area--the closest the shop in Alma. Staff was okay and the atmosphere was okay but the Grape Ape left a lot to be desired. Pineapple express was okay, but I've had better of both strains for a lot lower price! And that's the bottom line...the mountains are beautiful, though. If I lived up there and Alma was my only choice, I'd grow my own. I wish your quality matched your price. I was glad I brought some wax for my fishing trip!
Thanks to these nice folks....even the GF got a nice coat she really likes. They were very informative, selection was outstanding and the results as expected...Just some of nicest people you could meet....be back next year!
HCH2 is a hidden gem. super knowledgeable and friendly staff. the quality of their buds is a reflection of their standards to putting out a good product. :)

Avid is a mite pesticide developed for ornamentals and Christmas trees. It is systemic which means that it works by lingering around inside the plant for a long time. It may be very affective; however it is not developed for use with any food crops. Furthermore, Avid has been known to cause illness in medical marijuana patients. It is known to adversely affect animals and fish according to the Manufacturers Warning Label. This pesticide is very dangerous to work with and be exposed to. Due to the nature of this you are urged to not use this on your medicine. No amount of flushing will remove this substance. Below are links to the warnings from the manufacturer, Syngenta. For more info consult the Pesticideinfo.org.
This pesticide is listed on the HCH HUXLEYS BUDDER labeling. It made me sick, the staff thinks it's just fantastic. I have been going to HCH for some time, but I will never spend another penny there, I don't care how many times they are in HIGH TIMES. Total disregard for consumer safety, if it is in the concentrates, it's in the bud. Do yourself a favor and find a trustworthy organic dispensary. I feel pretty violated, thanks a bunch HCH.
The staff at High Country Healing knows how to run a show! Excellent service, comfortable environment, and killer buds. A definite must-stop if your passing through or live near the area. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly and quick to give advice on everything from mountain biking to herb selection. They also have an excellent selection on vaporizers. The collection of vinyl near the entrance is definitely asking to be flipped though on my next stop. Stop by and check this place out!
The staff was incredibly helpful in explaing to us what we were looking for and how much. Would definitely recommend them to anyone looking.
