The good and the bad

First the good.
Staff is very helpful and friendly. Great selection of edibles and elixirs and vapes. Very clean, good environment inside.

Now the Bad

Emerald palace does not test the quality or potency of the strains they sell. This is a problem for the experienced user and connoisseurs. They base their prices on these levels basic, beginner, intermediate , and Advanced. Ranging from 12$ the lowest I've seen to 21$ A gram Approximately . So basically the prices are set by the reviews of the staff and owners I assume. So the patient has no idea what they are getting potency . I personally like meds that hit like a Mack truck so I wanna know potency . Several of the strains I have tried have been dried out , flaccid and weak potency claiming to be " Advanced " . Also they must be weighed wet because 3 times weighing at home the weight is short. I would recommend the palace for beginners learning about meds, but until the palace gets it together on some of the above mentioned . I can't spend my money there on questionable quality meds

We typically haven't offered test result on our flower because they can be misleading. This is because there are many variables that can affect the test results. Buds at the top of the plant will read different cannabinoid levels than at the bottom. Also, hydration levels of the flower affect the cannabinoid levels. I was amazed to have 2 totally lop-sided experiences that snowballed into being so frustrated that you have to explain how upset an experience made you based on a greedy counter person who actually talked rudely and unprofessionally as soon as the customer had the door shut behind him. Not only did he not take his comments behind closed doors but he said them and had a back and forth with another employee whom was just as happy to 'talk for 1 hour 47 minutes to a customer as long as they were buying product' at the counter. When confronted the slick talking counter kid tried to sidestep his own conversation after being busted only to try to upsell me a product that I was back at the store to complain about as an unsuitable product that cause me some ill effects. There's a ton more I could go on about including managers whom have no idea how to handle a set of questions to a non cardholder making it past the register.
Not the most comfortable environment help or customer service.

Bad customer service

I tried to post a review earlier and I can't find it..convenient! I thought of a few more things I would like to say about my experience today. First let me start by saying that I am a chronic pain patient of 25 years, I also have a whole host of other health problems, I'm on disability and I'm a mom. I had found all of my other experiences at Emerald dispensary pleasant... although on several occasions they were out of what I needed. I sometimes purchase substitutions at the suggestion of the budtenders. However, I did not generally find those products to be acceptable substitutions and found myself stuck with some really expensive stuff. On one occasion, on my third trip in to buy CBD cartridges, I asked an employee named Carla is she could call me when they came in. Carly was great, she called me and she held the product for 2 days. On another occasion I was told that they could only hold product for 24 hours. So today I go in after calling ahead and asking them to hold the product for me, everything is going well... But then a woman comes out from the back and informs me that they cannot hold product for me. Let me be specific, she said we can only hold it to the end of the day because we have to do inventory. I told her if you had the product in your inventory I wouldn't be asking you all to do that- to which she said I understand but... That's their policy. Which to me means I understand, I just don't care. Let me explain this I have a lot of experience in retail and customer service. It's not rocket science! It would be very simple to have a bin with the product in on a counter somewhere with a sign that says please add to daily inventory cost. It seems to me that you just don't care how much you inconvenience your customers. It's a real struggle for me to get there, especially with my kids being out of school now. Just because your business does not have a procedure in place for something does not mean that you shouldn't. My husband said well, they're making money hand-over-fist they probably really don't care if they lose the half of your disability check that you've been spending their every month! I'm completely serious about that I have been spending half of my money every month at Emerald dispensary. I am not a customer who has a card because they really love smoking weed or someone who has carpal tunnel! I'm doing it because I really wanted another alternative. You all should be a lot more sensitive and understanding because not all your customers are 25 years old with some minor issue! I want an attitude I can go over to Walgreens.

Bad customer service

I can be really patient I always worked in customer service. Usually I was happy to go to Emerald the employees were very helpful and friendly. On several occasions they haven't had what I wanted though. It's taken awhile to figure out what I need I spend a lot of money on stuff that I can't really use (per their suggestion or as a substitute for something they don't have) and I'm averaging at least $100 plus a week which I can't really afford! I'm really pissed off right now! So I go in and this woman tells me I can't call ahead to have them hold product for me and I told her look if you had what I wanted when I came in and I wasn't making several trips into buy the same damn thing I wouldn't be calling and asking you to do that! It's really annoying! I'm going to start looking at other dispensaries if you can't keep them in stock for a very good regular customer then you're really missing out on a lot of business and let me tell you something else I am on disability, I have a lot of medical problems or I wouldn't be doing this! I also have a kid who's out of school for the summer it is hard for me to get in there!
