Decided to try the newer dispensary Emerald Dream this evening.
The buds are laid out on tables that customers can access for look and smell. They even included coffee beans, which was a nice touch. However you have to remember what kinds you want by the time you get to the counter - thus buying various strains and in bulk tends to be a problem - bring pen and paper haha. There is a little disconnect making the process a hair cumbersome, but alright.
The staff is real friendly and nice. Lots of smiling faces.
The establishment is very clean and well kept.
So far the quality is great but the selection was, at least today, hyrbid only. Not really my flavor but I got a few strains that I quite like.
The only issue I had with the place is the price. I was offered a discount but never recieved it. I suppose you need to fill out a bunch of information or whatever but I wasn't given that opportunity on the spot. I usually buy 1/2 OZ but was only able to get 3 1/8ths for the same price as I would just down the road.
I will consider going back as the experience was pretty good considering the price and lack of discounts for residency. But I am not interested in paying full price again. Emerald needs to fast track that discount a bit better.
I do recommend this place.
EDIT: I just noticed the price on this page for "Sour Diesel" is $40. Checking my receipt it looks like I was charged $50. Perhaps that is where the discount comes in but at 10% it doesn't add up and now I see I was overcharged.
While I still would recommend this place (overcharging happens in all retail) I want my $10 back... haha.
I really don't get the bad reviews. I didn't have that experience. The place is legit. They even put out coffee beans (Thx btw) so you can reset your smell to get the full effect of the next bud you wiff. Staff is friendly. I like the atmosphere better than some of the other places. As in I didn't feel like cattle being pushed thru gates to get fed. Open. Decently lit. Free graze kinda place. I liked it. Bud is good too. They have discounts on seeded bud which is great for my garden. Might hermie on me, I know, but thats with any seed you get. I'll keep a close eye on them. Overall, since I'm staying a while in Manitou, the old man and myself will be going here for rec as we relocate. I know you locals don't really care for 'relocaters'. We didn't either. We really didn't like being criminals either. Thanks for not throwing us under the jail for pot. Peace.
Thanks so much for your kind words on Emerald Fields! We are thrilled to hear that you had a positive experience with us. We will continue to strive to provide you the best Cannabis buying experience possible! Cheers!!
I just got back from Emerald Fields for the first time and I have to say some of these ratings are completely bogus... This shop is only 1 of 2 choices in Colorado Springs right now and it completely blows Maggie's Farm out of the water as far as customer experience goes! The prices are nearly the same, but EF does provide different quality levels to choose from which is nice.
The bud tenders were really chill, very helpful. No complaints on the bud so far!
My first impression of E.F. was "What a nice looking dispensary". Every employee was kind and helpful and the bud looked OK; so I purchased an eighth of Agent Orange. Out the door I paid $44.65 with a 10% discount. Got home opened the container for nice whiff…and nothing :( My wife and I lit it up and both tasted something very harsh and repulsive. I mean…it was really bad. At any rate, the medicine was effective but I expect more when paying premium prices. Manitou produces some great marijuana but its not from the dispensaries…yet. I hope to see an improvement in pricing and quality.
When i walked in i was greeted by very friendly staff and because i have just moved here from Ontario this is all very new to me; the staff proceeded to tell me about their amazing loyalty program which after signing up allowed me to get a discount on my purchase. After i was quickly brought into the sale room itself i had a worker tending just to me so i could ask questions and have them point me in the right direction.
I asked to see the concentrates where i was told they test their product for contaminant and even admitted to sending product back when it didn't meet their contaminant free criteria. I instantly got some white grape wax when i found this was an option and was then again checked out by very friendly staff and also received 10% off from signing up with them as previously stated.
Getting home and trying the product i found it to be very clean and smooth tasting with a great relaxing high, i will definitely be back in the future, possibly today if i make it in time!

These guys keep reporting my reviews and weedmapz keeps removing them. I'm gonna keep posting until it sticks just so you guys know.
This place sells mediocre bud for twice the price of what it should be sold for and pretends they're only doing it put of "respect to Maggie's Farm." What a joke. Maggie's is a ripoff too.
Hi there! We would recommend that you contact WeedMaps regarding the removal of your reviews. Emerald Fields did not have any part in that removal and encourage you to touch base with them to get your question answered. We welcome reviews such as yours and are very sorry to hear that your experience was poor at Emerald Fields. I noticed that the last review i posted for Emerald Fields has been deleted, i do hope this was in error as i took time not only to visit the store, spend my hard earned money there, but write the review that has been removed. Here is my review, once again.
Emerald Fields in Manitou Springs.
I went into Emerald Fields in Manitou on 4/8/15 just to check it out. Upon arrival we were the only car in
the parking lot aside from the men working on the sign. When we went in there was no wait. We were taken right back, but after entering the bud area we were left on our own. The tables are set up much like a cellular phone company, small plastic jars with a vent to smell, and a magnifying glass on top. The buds looked very dry, and were falling apart. The building was very nice, but seemed out of place with the lack of display & lack of professional staff to bud tend. Most of the staff looked a little confused and were unable to ask basic questions regarding strain, potency, where the product is tested and how it’s
grown. I was told that they “buy” from other people, but the methods used to grow are unknown. They weren’t even sure if it was indoor grown, but it very obviously was. The staff are clearly not experienced, probably due to it being a new store. The pricing was less than what I had expected given the look of the place. $40 an 1/8 bottom level pricing before tax. The Concentrates looked ok, pretty clean, but the staff were unsure on what type of extraction took place, and didn’t know who made the product. There were only a couple kinds, not strain specific and left on the tables like the buds to melt and, and didn’t look like a display should look in my opinion. The edible stock consisted of a few Canyon Cultivation items and some Julie’s seed mix. The nicest thing about the store was the glass in my opinion, some very nice pieces and some things that I had not seen before, like different nails for dabbers, portable dabbers and cases for the glass, however the expense of the items was extremely high, $75 for a blubbler that could easily be purchased at a head shop for $30.
also can i please get a response in regard to where the last review went??? Thanks

Not your huge user or an experienced connoisseur, and really just stopped by the see if it was true about what was being said about the New Kid in Manitou - Emerald Fields. I was blown away. Fast service, no waiting and playing musical chairs as if I was in a Detention Facility, and some damn good product as well. This new place is a real breath of fresh air and a needed change from the Muffler shop down the street. Be sure to grab some of the butters they have - best ever.
No waiting around, you are let in back immediately where their staff is ready to take your order after browsing the selections which are set up great. I think the negative review is from a competitor clearly.
I stopped by with a couple of friends during the first opening week and I was quite amazed to say the least. It's like "The Apple store" of Cannabis. Their streamline style is backed up by some of the best known, Cannabis cup winning strains. What stands out about Emerald Fields is the way the flowers are displayed. Tables are setup in a staging area with bud samples sitting in clever magnified and porous jars for easy shopping. I consider myself a Cannabis Connoisseur and was impressed by the bud tenders wealth of knowledge. Ladies and gentleman, awesomeness had landed in Manitou Springs!
