THERE AIN'T NOTHIN' LIKE THE REAL THING!
As head grower & owner of Maggie's Farm, I feel fortunate for the opportunity to FINALLY share the results of a product grown under my native state's SUN and climate with the Medical Marijuana community.
This is a different level of medicine, with a difference you can FEEL.
THANKS TO ALL PATIENTS WHO HAVE DARED TRY A DIFFERENT OUTDOOR PRODUCT, AND FOR SPREADING THE WORD AMONG THE COMMUNITY! FOR THOSE WHO HAVE NOT HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO SAMPLE OUR MEDICINE, COME IN AND LET YOUR BODY TELL YOU WHAT IT LIKES!
Completely Different Energy
It always starts with a seed. That's Nature's preferred choice for reproduction...a seed.
Always has been. Maggie's Farm always grows from seed.
Cloned plants can develop "genetic drift" which deals with how traits begin to change as a plant gets weathered through stress. Cannabis is an annual, in nature, which is reborn every spring through seed germination.
Indoor growers, working with plants weathered by abnormal stress, IE: like never-dying mother plants, will use insecticides, hormones, stimulants, and fungicides to keep the mother plants "healthy". The plant’s health is only temporary though as chemicals actually change the plant, leading to the "genetic drift".
Growing from seed is simply better. Seed is a fresh genetic representation which has not been through "seasons" of abuse.
Carefully bred, seed grown plants, can exhibit something called "genetic vigor," when plants actually excel beyond previous expectations. We work to ensure that we don't weaken genetics through inbreeding. We focus on reproducing your favorite genetics, while we also help grow the science of cannabis genetics, in cooperation with the industries leading professionals.
For gigantic, industrial, indoor, grows, cloning is a mandatory part of manufacturing
on a very fast tight schedule, rushing out 6 super sized crops each year.
Large factories that must clone, carry a very different intention and energy,
than outdoor farms in the country do.
All in an attempt to recreate elements that Nature already had dialed in, and perfected eons ago. Maggie's Farm grows outdoors, only one crop each year. Medicine, that is grown with an intention to cooperate with Nature, not to compete against her.
Seeds, planted outdoors, under real sunlight, in 100% Organic, Custom Blended Soil.
Maggie’s Farm grows in real living soil. Just like Nature does!
Not grown in hydro, not rockwool, not in air, not in water.
Exactly how Nature does it, in a perfected blend of Organic soil, developed by
Maggie's Master Grower laboriously, over many seasons, until he got it just right.
Nature feeds the soil, which then feeds the plant. That’s how we do it too.
Next it takes some special water, to make special medicine.
Not water that has been chlorinated, fluoridated, and in some metro areas, even re-used! Huge commercial grows located within a city, turn on the tap and chlorinated, fluoridated, water is all they have to grow, flush, and sustain, your medicine with.
Maggie's uses only fresh spring water to make sure your medicine contains and delivers a completely different energy. Energy that is only available from the best water and from The Sun.
Nature prefers The Sun, not artificial light, Metal Halide, High Pressure Sodium, LED's. The race to commercially replicate good old fashioned sun light goes on unabated at a fevered commercial pace.
Plants go from 18 hours of light, in an industrial nursery, are placed into a flower room, and forced in just one day, to adjust to an instant 33% reduction in light. That's not how Nature does it.
Maggie's Farm grows outdoors where a plant's light period changes slowly... gradually....naturally, over the course of 7-10 days. The days shorten, the temperatures drop a little, the plant gathers all this information, has time to comply with all these natural changes, and so begins the transition to flower.
Shine some light on how your current medicine is being grown. If you find its being lighted artificially, there is an alternative. We use the wonders of the sun, in growing the very best medicines, to brighten your day.
An important aspect of growing top quality, organically grown,
medicine, (also, in how your medicine tastes) is dictated by the curing process.
In the fast paced world of indoor, industrially, produced grows, it can literally
be just days in between harvesting, drying, and being placed on a shelf for sale.
Drying is what you do to your clothes. Proper curing is about going slowly,
not forcing all the moisture out ASAP. Instead, allowing nature to spend
all the time required to slowly cure your medicine. This produces a difference in
taste and effectiveness, that we encourage you to experience today.
The very last step is to Hand Trim your medicine.
A real person, not a machine, trims your medicine with the care and respect it deserves. Gently, carefully, removing what you don't need, and leaving undisturbed
everything you prize most, in superior medicine. Grow factory's produce
huge amounts of product, and consequently throw their wet harvested crop immediately
into a "trimming machine". Wet fragile flower, tumbles, falls, spins around, over and over and over, knocking off...cutting off, not just the fans leaves, but also some of the most important components of effective medicine...the trichomes.
Maggie's Farm Does not use trim machines. We only hand trim.
Maggie's allows the trichomes to set up and harden through proper curing, over the course of many months.
Only after your medicine is fully cured does Maggie's carefully trained trim crews, hand trim each bud, with the care and respect the very best medicine deserves. An exchange of human energy occurs, that a machine can't ever reproduce.
At Maggie's Farm, we keep lighted magnifying viewer’s right on the counter so
you can easily see the difference proper curing and hand trimming makes in the
final product. Come on in and have a look for yourself.
After you see the difference, feel the difference, that working with
Nature creates, in your medicine today.
shopped here today was not disappointed. its especially nice that everything is organically Colorado home grown. for my first time at a dispensary they made me feel at ease.
What a difference a few miles make ya stoners ...
You guys ROCK professional staff , I was very well INFORMED by both staff members this afternoon and the WeeD was awesome not to mention the new customer treat I received. This place is the real deal not just another Dispensary with a stinky bud in the SCHWAGG Jar !
The best around
The meds are great ive tried almost every strain they have and all if them are winners. Love the outdoor organic style and they have it down. Prices could be better but for the quality its pretty fair. Oz's are pricey and u cant split ur halfs 4 ways and thats a little bit of a bummer. The staff is friendly and helpful. If u havent been here try it U wont be sorry
don't belive the bad reviews about maggies you cant make everybody happy. Truth is Maggie are if there is a real Maggie knows what to do. They have one of the biggest selections of good medicine from smoke to edibles drinks n trincics. Feel good and enjoy yourself. Treat yourself to Maggies lots to try. The staff is wonderful they treat me like a star. Check out there deals. They are out to help the people. They got 3 stores and might open for recreational witch is great. I hope the tourist have a safe place to go and enjoy marijuana. I would buy a building where they can go and use, some where cool with every one in town, but I don't have that kind of money. Pipe dream. So if your new to the springs check it out. be safe and respectful. don't get buzzed and drive
One Particular Budtender
Melissa is the reason I have stayed with Maggie's for medical reasons. She is very knowledgeable & has a great personality that keeps me coming back. Every time I have a question, she always has an answer that is understandable. Other budtenders have answers, but I feel as if Melissa is much more informed about this line of business. I enjoy my visit each time she is working. Thank you, Melissa, for all of your help!
Maggie's is awesome!!!
Maggie's has an awesome staff (Roe is the shit!!!) that really knows their products. They've got some bad ass buds! Try the Chernobyl & Agent Orange. Their prices are fair and the quality is superb.
BEST BUD EVER! PERIOD!
Maggie's Farm is phenomenal! I was in pain five minutes ago from the pressure pushing the heavy winds outside. Now, a couple bowls of Ace of Spades later, I am the modern manifestation of the Cheshire Cat. Thank you, Maggie's Farm. You are all wonderful and your medicine is GOOD medicine that WORKS! That's the most important part.
Ive visited maggies twice since having my card. The gold award from the independent is enough to go back by itself but the staff were completely helpful and asked me what my symptoms were instead of just saying.. Oh this is really pretty or this will get me really stoned. Give the new staff a chance to get to know you and they will be more helpful but quality of meds has a very very long lasting effect not to mention there meds arent dried out or leafy. And with 45+ strains, they will and can fulfill your needs. Thanks maggies!! :)
What's going on at Maggies?
1 person thought this review was helpful!
I've been a Maggie's patient for 2 1/2 years and have always bragged about the quality and service. I felt like Ro and Reed and Jessie really cared and I trusted their suggestions. I was always more than satisfied. Recently, however, things have changed. In the past two to three months, I have not recognized a single budtender and haven't seen the same one twice. Reed is gone and Jessie is gone and only Ro remembers me. On my most recent visit, I was asked if this was my first visit by a young woman who was holding my red card that clearly states that Maggies is my caregiver. Hmmm... And what's up with the huge honking plastic jars!!! And the "Uniforms"? The young ladies (3 behind the counter) seemed to be reading a script as they pointed out the strains without asking what my specific needs were. The quality is excellent as always and prices are still in line but this may be the year I choose another caregiver. Customer service and caring people are extremely important to me. This medicine is what makes it possible for me to function in spite of extreme pain and I need to work with people who care. At this point I am seriously shopping for another dispensary to sign on with. Sorry guys, if I can find Reed, I'll probably go where he is. Maggies - it was nice while it lasted.
I thank you for writing. There have been many changes lately and you have listed some just of them.
Reed and Jessie both left Maggie’s within weeks of each other, with very short notice to pursue other opportunities. They both left large shoes to fill. I wish both of them the very best.
Add to that large loss, that the last 3 months has been spent furiously preparing for a multitude of new regulations and procedures, that the industry had to begin implementing on Jan 1st. It has been a very busy past few months.
Your comment about the “big plastic jars” makes us miss the old glass containers for ounces too.
Currently the big plastic jars are the only compliant Child Proof option we have been able to source. Better options will become available soon as specialty/child proof container production begins to meet regulations and demand. We will stock a better option as soon as one becomes available. I am anxious, for a replacement too.
You note that during the past 2-3 months, the level of service to patients has slipped. I want to personally apologize to you. That is the last thing I want to have happen. Change is always difficult and we are working very hard to adjust to many major changes in staff, rules, and regulations, all at once. Without having it effect, the in store experience of our patients.
Personalized service is very important to me, and is established with a patient overtime. After 2.5 years of personalized service for you, I don’t know how anyone else we could bring on staff would be able to match that same HIGH level of personalized customer service from your first visit, after just meeting new staff.
I hope that you'll give us another chance to be your favorite dispensary. That's our goal.
Our intention is to make your experience at Maggie’s even more enjoyable than it has been in the past 2.5 years. I hope you’ll give our new staff a fair chance, and enough visits, so they will get to know, and serve you personally too.
Went in to get some bud because I was tired of what my dispensary had around. As a first time patient I was not impressed. The woman working with me was curt, and didn't smile once. Easy to find and get to so I'll give them that, but unless they have a strain I really want, I probably won't be back.
