The Dandelion is a misunderstood weed, sound familiar? We chose the name The Dandelion because strangely enough both cannabis sativa and the dandelion have lived similar lives in the public eye. While both plants have been viewed as weeds with no value the truth is very different. Both plants are very beneficial to the environment and have been used medicinally by humans for thousands of years. The Dandelion is 100% Locally Owned and Operated! What does your Membership Program Entail? The Green Rewards Program is offered to those patients who assign The Dandelion as their caregiver. Please inquire at the store to learn more about our member benefits. What if I have a medical card from another state, can I buy medicine from The Dandelion? Sorry, you must have a medical card from the State of Colorado to purchase medicine. When can I legally buy my medicine? If you are submitting a new application, we may accept your application, physician's certification and certified mail receipt for up to 35 days from the certified mail date. After the 35 days have passed, you must wait until your red card comes in the mail to visit our dispensary. If you have submitted a renewal application, per Colorado State law, we are unable to accept your paperwork in lieu of your red card, even within the 35 days. If you are a renewal, you must wait for your new red card before we can serve you in our dispensary. Can I buy medicine from your locations if you are not my primary caregiver? Yes, our doors are open to everyone with a Colorado medical marijuana card! Can I use insurance to pay for my medicine? Unfortunately, not at this time. How can I pay for my medicine? Cash or credit (fee for credit)
The Dandelion doesn't have the biggest selection or the best prices, but it is a consistently nice place with good service and friendly staff. Nice clean shop and good service all round. I've been there numerous times and it's always pleasant.
Amazing new fire strains, love the changes
I read some of these reviews a while back and have to idea what these people are talking about, the dandy has some serious fire buds now! I guess either they took them to heart or they changed something, but they are getting some super dank stuff and it all smokes very clean. The girl scout cookies I tried was fantastic. I also think they have the best shatter selection in town. Now that my caregiver changed rec, I found my new home.
Thank You Dandelion :)
The new staff is really good at listening and narrowing down the options to what I am actually looking for. The Lavender Diesel is so great... I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!!!!!!! :)
The Oz. specials are awesome... there is no better deal for the quality! The new crew is really impressing me!
My new happy place!
I recently had my caregiver go fully recreational and have been out exploring what else Boulder has to offer. Had my first experience at The Dandelion today and was really impressed! From the moment i walked through the door i knew i had found my new happy place. The space is amazing, the staff was incredibly warm and welcoming, and the selection was impressive!!!
The budtender that was working with me was very helpful in turning me on to a couple new edibles as well as some unique flower strains that i've never tried before. I wasn't in a position this trip to spend all that much and they were very helpful in making sure i was able to get the most for my budget which included getting an eighth for only $15 since it was my first visit!!!
The icing on the cake was that they were offering a "doctor day" at the end of the month for only $25 to renew my card! I wasn't even aware that my card was soon to expire and the girl in the lobby got me all squared away with an appointment.
I will absolutely be back and looking forward to calling The Dandelion my new caregiver.
Thanks Guys and Gals!!!
Rolling fast downhill
Have been a member for over a year and the Dandelion has fallen off fast in the new year.
First, the flowers are no longer TOP shelf on any of the shelves. They move strains between shelves and just change the price from week to week. Not to mention if you require a nice Indica, they only have 2 and both are pricey and not that great (Has been this way for over 3 months). And what is up with all the heavy Chemicals listed on your flowers labels used as pesticides...Yuk!
Secondly, the WAIT! Why am i always sitting in the waiting room for over 10+ minutes? Only to find a single budtender that moves so slow.
Lastly, CUSTOMER SERVICE, why do I always have to remind you that I am a member of your shop and you have posted benefits that you don't give unless asked for. Now you CHARGE $1 for a CONTAINER? What BS! Train your staff! The turnover has been high and your staff is NOT knowledgeable any longer. Also, why is the staff so unhappy? Always complaining about something: New rules, different containers, new manager, etc. Customers don't want to hear it!
From a great shop in the past to a real bummer in boulder. Thankfully, we have lots of choices and I have just changed dispensaries on my renewal form.
Thank you for your comments We appreciate the opportunity to serve you and will do our absolute best to take all of your input into consideration and work towards bettering ourselves.
We completely understand where your frustrations are coming from and do apologize. We would like to take this opportunity and address some of your concerns.
First… the issue of continually being asked about your member status is a quick fix and we are sorry that it hasn’t been addressed up to this point. This is a system issue that we will be able to address during your next visit. Please ask for a manager the next time you are in, explain the issue, and they will be happy to take care of you.
In regards to our tiered levels for our flower we have tried our best to assess on a daily basis the current condition of all of our bud in order to appropriately establish the good from the great. We are proud of all of our flower and would never sell anything that wasn’t of quality. However being plant matter the overall quality of flower will vary greatly day to day. That said any given flower strain from a batch harvest will never move from a lower tier to a top tier but rather the opposite. As time passes and the appearance, aroma, and overall quality of the bud changes we take action to establish a new tier that is more fitting to its current state. We understand that this system is not perfect and are always open to any suggestions on how we can approach this in a more transparent manner.
As far as our strain selection is concerned we are aware that we need to find a much better balance between sativas and indicas and have made this a top priority for our grows to address. We assure you that this will improve over the next couple weeks as new harvests are coming down for curing. Please check back in with us to see what new strains are coming soon.
We understand your concerns about our ingredients labels. Our intention here is to be as transparent as possible regarding everything that goes into our flower. As you know, to be able to provide the absolute best flower on the scale demanded by our patients we probably use some ingredients that would not be traditionally used by a smaller scale grow or home grow. We would like to alleviate your concerns however and let you know that we only use what is absolutely necessary. We use the most environmentally/ health friendly nutrients and ingredients possible, all of which are safe for consumption.
As far as your concerns with the staffs complaints I assure you that we have addressed this and completely agree that you should not have to listen to certain aspects of their day to day. We are a tight knit group of people working long days with each other day in and day out and I am sure that this contributes to some of the daily internal gossip you mentioned you had overheard. We will work to ensure everyone is more mindful of this moving forward.
Again… we would just like to say that your thoughts and opinions are incredibly valuable to us. We sincerely hope to see you back in The Dandelion soon, and look forward to the opportunity to show you how we’ve improved.
Bud Tender was a prick
1 person thought this review was helpful!
Well I was going to make this place my caregiver untill I delt with the tender. Everyone in the lobby and manager were great and really helpful and friendly, but the tender was acting as if I was annoing him with questions when it was my first time in the shop. Sorry your day selling medical marijuana is soo hard would love to see that kid pouring cement. Left feeling pissed and uneasy, never what you expect when leaving the store. I never write reviews but that tender....
First we want to thank you again for coming to see us today!
We appreciate the kind words regarding our front of the house team and would like to reiterate that it is our every intention to make sure that your experience with us is a positive one. That being said we are terribly sorry that we did not meet our goals in doing so.
Additionally we wanted to let you know that after your visit we had a sit down with the bud tender that was meant to take care of you and had a long conversation regarding the situation. We've taken some corrective actions with him and want to assure you that this will never happen again.
We hope that you can come in to see us again and allow us to correct our mistakes and look forward to the opportunity to do so.
Please give us a call at your earliest convenience and ask for the general manager as he would like to further discuss your experience as well as lay out what you can expect from us on your next visit.
- The Dandelion
Well I will say that this place is good. I tried the lavender diesel and it looked very impressive. Had very nice smell and texture when broken up. I haven't had much luck with a sativa strain in a dispensary but this was the best one I tried so far. While the effects were there, it was missing the massive donkey kick to the cerebral I'm looking for from a top shelf sativa. So overall the effects were good but not great. The flavor, smell, and texture were on par. I would visit again and try once more
I'LL BE BACK!!
Awesome place! Love the Atmosphere and Vibe! I went in to buy a quarter and left with an ounce of Romulan, 3 grams of BEAUTIFUL shatter hash and a super tasty brownie! I fell in love with the staff, they really listened to me and made me feel like I belong there! I will be back for sure! xoxo LOVE THE DANDELION!!
Always Impressed, Always A Reason To Return!!
I am going to start by saying I am very picky about my product, where I buy from and what I buy. I live in Westminster and have spent hours shopping at dispensaries around the city and state. I am also a grower and know my shit. I stumbled upon The Dandelion a year and a half ago and was blown away by their prices and bud selection. Since then I have only seen more amazing new products, strains, edibles and oils. I wish sometimes they had better strain selection, but then sometimes they have too many and my eyes get crossed just trying to decide what I want. The grass is always greener on the other side I guess, or is it? They have amazing deals and specials that never seem to lose my interest. I do notice that they sometimes have new staff members, but that's life. I've never been treated rudely and if someone is new and can't answer my expert level questions, they ask someone there who can. I suppose that's not ideal, but gotta start somewhere and I always get the help and answers I need. The other places I shop rush me in and out like I'm a god damn puppy in a puppy mill, but not The Dandelion staff. Parking sucks sometimes, but I always seem to find parking or walk because anywhere in downtown Boulder sucks to find parking anyways. We live in Colorado after all with 300 days of sunshine, so walking won't kill me. There's always room for improvement, but I am forever loyal and love shopping at the Dandy and will continue to do so!
