The dandelion is a misunderstood weed, sound familiar? We chose the name The Dandelion because strangely enough both cannabis sativa and the dandelion have lived similar lives in the public eye. While both plants have been viewed as weeds with no value the truth is very different. Both plants are very beneficial to the environment and have been used medicinally by humans for thousands of years. The Dandelion is 100% Locally Owned and Operated! What does your Membership Program Entail? The Green Rewards Program is offered to those patients who assign The Dandelion as their caregiver. Please inquire at the store to learn more about our member benefits. What if I have a medical card from another state, can I buy medicine from The Dandelion? Sorry, you must have a medical card from the State of Colorado to purchase medicine. When can I legally buy my medicine? If you are submitting a new application, we may accept your application, physician's certification and certified mail receipt for up to 35 days from the certified mail date. After the 35 days have passed, you must wait until your red card comes in the mail to visit our dispensary. If you have submitted a renewal application, per Colorado State law, we are unable to accept your paperwork in lieu of your red card, even within the 35 days. If you are a renewal, you must wait for your new red card before we can serve you in our dispensary. Can I buy medicine from your locations if you are not my primary caregiver? Yes, our doors are open to everyone! Can I use insurance to pay for my medicine? Unfortunately, not at this time. How can I pay for my medicine? Cash Only
Bud Tender was a prick
Well I was going to make this place my caregiver untill I delt with the tender. Everyone in the lobby and manager were great and really helpful and friendly, but the tender was acting as if I was annoing him with questions when it was my first time in the shop. Sorry your day selling medical marijuana is soo hard would love to see that kid pouring cement. Left feeling pissed and uneasy, never what you expect when leaving the store. I never write reviews but that tender....
First we want to thank you again for coming to see us today!
We appreciate the kind words regarding our front of the house team and would like to reiterate that it is our every intention to make sure that your experience with us is a positive one. That being said we are terribly sorry that we did not meet our goals in doing so.
Additionally we wanted to let you know that after your visit we had a sit down with the bud tender that was meant to take care of you and had a long conversation regarding the situation. We've taken some corrective actions with him and want to assure you that this will never happen again.
We hope that you can come in to see us again and allow us to correct our mistakes and look forward to the opportunity to do so.
Please give us a call at your earliest convenience and ask for the general manager as he would like to further discuss your experience as well as lay out what you can expect from us on your next visit.
- The Dandelion
Well I will say that this place is good. I tried the lavender diesel and it looked very impressive. Had very nice smell and texture when broken up. I haven't had much luck with a sativa strain in a dispensary but this was the best one I tried so far. While the effects were there, it was missing the massive donkey kick to the cerebral I'm looking for from a top shelf sativa. So overall the effects were good but not great. The flavor, smell, and texture were on par. I would visit again and try once more
I'LL BE BACK!!
Awesome place! Love the Atmosphere and Vibe! I went in to buy a quarter and left with an ounce of Romulan, 3 grams of BEAUTIFUL shatter hash and a super tasty brownie! I fell in love with the staff, they really listened to me and made me feel like I belong there! I will be back for sure! xoxo LOVE THE DANDELION!!
Always Impressed, Always A Reason To Return!!
I am going to start by saying I am very picky about my product, where I buy from and what I buy. I live in Westminster and have spent hours shopping at dispensaries around the city and state. I am also a grower and know my shit. I stumbled upon The Dandelion a year and a half ago and was blown away by their prices and bud selection. Since then I have only seen more amazing new products, strains, edibles and oils. I wish sometimes they had better strain selection, but then sometimes they have too many and my eyes get crossed just trying to decide what I want. The grass is always greener on the other side I guess, or is it? They have amazing deals and specials that never seem to lose my interest. I do notice that they sometimes have new staff members, but that's life. I've never been treated rudely and if someone is new and can't answer my expert level questions, they ask someone there who can. I suppose that's not ideal, but gotta start somewhere and I always get the help and answers I need. The other places I shop rush me in and out like I'm a god damn puppy in a puppy mill, but not The Dandelion staff. Parking sucks sometimes, but I always seem to find parking or walk because anywhere in downtown Boulder sucks to find parking anyways. We live in Colorado after all with 300 days of sunshine, so walking won't kill me. There's always room for improvement, but I am forever loyal and love shopping at the Dandy and will continue to do so!
What happened Dandy?
Trust me, I'm not one to write reviews, but enough is enough. I used to frequent the dandy until I got some moldy sour kush a few months ago. I didn't make a big deal about it at the time, figured I would just give them a little break to let them figure out things. I went back in about a couple weeks ago (and have been back three times since), and it's really unfortunate that the dandy is a joke now. Basically an entire new staff now, which I thought was weird. Bud quality is mediocre at best, just generic. Probably has something to do with their curing process. But what really got me as a legitimate consumer is their failed attempt to be a real medical shop. Where's your CBD products? Having a CBD strain or two on the shelf is weak, especially when you don't even test your products... Pathetic. How can you be a medical shop and not get your product tested. Seems lazy and sketchy. I can only assume by now the owner or owners, or whoever is running the show probably doesn't even smoke weed. Obviously quality is no longer a concern. Based off observations, seems like you guys are just slanging cheap bud to college kids who probably turn around and sell it (which is apparent if you guys sell bulk wax deals). At this point I much rather make the trip down to Denver for some quality tested herb. Wake up dandy, you're a medical shop, it's time that you start acting like one.
We are sorry to hear that your experiences with our center have not been up to the highest possible standard and greatly appreciate your insight. We know we are not perfect… but want you and all of our loyal patrons to know that we are doing everything in our power to focus on the areas we can better ourselves and work to do so.
In regards to our strain selection and quality, we first rely on a number of internal processes to ensure that all of our medicine is of the highest quality… however this is plant matter and there will always be fluctuations. So in addition to our own QC we absolutely rely on your direct feedback to help us ensure the best experience possible. We would love to hear if you have any suggestions of strains that you particularly find beneficial to you and that you would like us to pursue growing.
Please stop back in at your earliest convenience and ask for the General Manager. He would be happy to sit with you and discuss any other concerns that you have regarding the center and is always interested in feedback regarding areas we can do better for you. Additionally if you bring back any product that you feel has been compromised he would be happy to replace it for you.
We sincerely hope to better serve you moving forward and look forward to speaking with you further on how to do so.
- The Dandelion
My favorite Boulder dispensary. No reason to go anywhere else: beautiful flower, dank shatter, daily specials. At first I was disappointed none of the twenty other dispensaries in town held a candle to Dandelion. Now I'm thankful that when I make the drive there's only one stop to make.
Love this place!
I have been visiting around to a few different dispensories since getting my temp red card and i say dandelion is by far the best in my book. The staff was super nice and the budtender was beyond helpful when i asked s ton of questions about oils and wax for vaping. I will say the prices are a touch more expensive than at some other shops, but id rather be in a friendly comfortable enviroment than save 5 bucks on an 1/8.
Had a good experience at the Dandelion. It had a friendly feeling/staff. I got a gram of bruce banner shatter by native roots which had a kind of funky taste (to me) but I think it was just the strain because it was clean and not burnt or anything along those lines. It was reasonably priced and was pretty potent and the 15$ 8th of Chemdawg was well worth it...especially with the first time patient deal. Will be back to the Dandelion in the future.
Thanks gonephishin!! We would love to see you back in the store soon - let us know next time you stop in for a penny pre-roll!
Going downhill from commercialization.
2 people thought this review was helpful!
The Dandelion used to be my go-to dispensary for everything. They had the dankest nug, fire shatter and an awesome membership program where you could get an ounce of just about any bud for less than $200 includ. tax. But all this has started to change thanks to the gimmick called a "boutique" strain. Why do I call this a gimmick? Hear me out. About a year ago they introduced boutique strains, saying that they were buds that were more difficult to grow and had a lower yield, thus the higher price. Sounds reasonable. But then along come the daily "boutique specials". That's right, one of the buds that are priced exorbitantly higher (compare the $250 price to $200/$175 for other shelves) due to "low yield, low quantity" can be gotten on special every day of the week. And specials are for strains in surplus that the vendor is trying to move. And these strains shuffle too, quite a bit, any given week there are usually 2-3 variants. In other words, the "boutique" label is just marketing b.s. when analyzed. As if that deception isn't bad enough, members get the finger when it comes to "boutique" strains as well; while the $175 and $200 shelves cost $160 to members, not includ. tax, boutique strains still cost $225, not includ. tax. The even BIGGER problem is that this is just about the two month mark for half of their available strains....being BOUTIQUE strains! Check out the menu, but their current inventory for strains is EXACTLY 50% boutique strains. So, what's the point of signing up for a caregiver if they don't take care of you, and gouge their patients on prices for strains labelled "boutique" that really do not compare to similarly priced or cheaper meds at other dispensaries, like helping hands or green room? Not to mention the lovely "pesticides applied" label on their buds....if there are pesticides on a medical product that are inhaled, then honestly, why not just sniff paint for pain relief? Add in some recent obnoxious additions to the staff who deliver awesome lines such as "we like to round up (weight) here" while picking up bud that was dropped on the floor to weigh out for you and a painfully sharp increase in concentrate prices, and you have a once wonderful dispensary in desperate need of better management. Management that would, you know, focus on patient (not customer) care and less on profits from a "daily specials" hype campaign.
Zabazagobo – Thank you for the critique. We are incredibly sorry to hear that your most recent experience at The Dandelion was disappointing. Your feedback is valuable and is one of a few ways we are able to assess where we our strengths are, and where we may need to focus moving forward. We take all of this into consideration in order to ensure that we are bringing our patients the greatest experience and highest standards in MMJ. We will be reviewing our Boutique offerings moving forward as well as address the staff issue that you had experienced. As far as your concerns regarding the package labeling goes… it is important to us that all of our patients understand that our growers utilize a 30-day flushing period to ensure that our buds are nutrient free when harvested. We never spray any chemicals onto flowering plants and our nutrient system comes from the Advanced Nutrients line, one of the best and most natural nutrient companies on the market. We are constantly looking to improve both our customer service and all other aspects of The Dandelion and will use your feedback to improve our quality of service. Please touch base with a manager if you have any other questions or comments.
Wasn't too impressed
Bud was ok, but prices are outrageous! I can go to other dispensaries n get BETTER QUALITY bud for a WAY LOWER prices in Boulder! Also didn't care for the girls there much. One was really rude and didn't seem to be interested or care for what exactly I was looking for. Never going back for sure!
Thanks for the review HighLifeGurl - we appreciate your feedback. We sincerely regret to hear you were unhappy with our pricing and some of our staff. We strive to have competitive pricing with other Boulder medical dispensaries - be sure to check out Weedmaps and the specials board in the shop for any available discounts, as ounce specials are offered daily. Please do not hesitate to let a manager at the store know anytime you have a concern with an employee so that we may take care of any issues immediately. We appreciate your business and hope you will reconsider shopping with us again.
