    AWESOMELY NICE !

Great club. For such a centrally located club, the wait time is minimal, even for new patients such as myself.
Impressive selection, nice helpful staff, relaxed atmosphere. 3 budtenders working hard to show you anything you want, no hurry.
Great herb, I got the Blackberry Kush, saw many great Indicas. They DO take credit cards. The wax I got is actually shatter, not listed, but is wonderful medicine.
All in all , a truly wonderful experience !!! Thanks Apothercarium !!

    Cannabis & Cancer Seminar

    Cannabis & Cancer
After a 2 month vacation I arrived back home to the Mission-Dolores district of San Francisco. When I visited the folks at The Apothecarium medical dispensary, I was invited to a Cannabis & Cancer seminar. It was conducted by Sara, a cancer survivor, and covered the medicinal benefits of various types and strains of cannabis with colorful names. By the end of the seminar, attendees were familiarized with different ways to take medical cannabis and also got samples of it in capsules and oil.

    Sativas, Indicas and Hybrids
Cancer survivors like Sara have experienced the therapeutic benefits of medical cannabis (also known as medical marijuana) in addressing pain relief and nausea. Medical cannabis plants come in 2 main varieties, Sativa and Indica. Well known Sativa strains include Jack Herrer and Red Congo. Famous Indica strains are Black Berry Kush and Grand Daddy Purple. Most of the medical marijuana strains available have been genetically engineered into hybrid strains combining Sativas and Indicas from all over the world. In general, Sativa dominant strains will have a more stimulating and energizing effect while Indica dominant strains will tend to sedate you.

    Smoke, Vaporize, Eat or Apply
I found out that chemotherapy can target and kill cancer cells, but it can also cause damage to the nerve cells, known as peripheral neuropathy. Common symptoms include pain, burning or tingling in fingers, toes, hands and feet. By taking medical cannabis through smoking rolled joints, vaporizing concentrates, swallowing capsules or eating edibles infused with THC and CBD, cancer patients and survivors experience significant pain & nausea relief.

    THC and CBD
THC and CBD are cannabinoids found in all medical cannabis plants. Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) treats or prevents nausea and vomiting caused by cancer medicines, when other medicines don’t work. CBD stands for Cannabidiol, which is known to treat convulsions, inflammation, anxiety, and nausea. CBD strains are gaining in popularity after a strain called Charlotte’s Web was featured on CNN’s Dr. Sanjay Gupta’s TV show. After a young girl took this strain of cannabis tincture, her epileptic seizures went down from 300 seizures per week, to only one. Some other popular CBD rich strains include Harlequin, Sour Tsunami, and Cannatonic.

The Future of Cannabis & Cancer
Medical Cannabis is helping cancer patients and the general population heal from common ailments and illnesses brought upon by modernization. With many suffering from cancer, depression, insomnia, anxiety and stress, medical cannabis is addressing many of the health and wellness issues of our time. I look forward to seeing more clinical studies behind the claims that THC reduces the size of brain tumors and that CBD stops the proliferation of cancer cells in the body.

    becoming inconsistant

use to be a regular but, rude staff (short), ALWAYS GET YOUR RECIEPT and check before you leave. They have been consistently forgetting the extras when you spend $$$$, males you feel disappointed. ONLY 9 customers allowed at a time.... wait outside!? They are Pricey, with good bud, most of the time. They are becoming Very inconsistent, a shame, was a good club :-(

    Unsatisfied

1 person thought this review was helpful!

Firstly, I have never looked at the bud, I have only come for concentrates. They are one of the few clubs in the city that carries Rumpwax but at a costly price. $70-80 for a gram of Rump before taxes. To me, charging this high for a gram of shatter is a bit much. Parking in the area isn't easy, but there is a Safeway. However, they have a security guard that checks for cars so be careful.

Also, the staff were slightly rude. I had called to ask about a specific strain of Rump and all they told me was to check online. The website showed they had what i wanted but when I got there they didn't have it, so I left. The staff were trying to convince me to get something else but for their prices it wasn't worth it.

Overall, it's not the worst, but being as that they don't cover the taxes and the prices are already a little high this club would be a last last last resort when it comes to shatter.

    Great Place!!!!

Been here a few times and the staff is great. They know what they are talking about and have the best meds in the city. Only thing it is a little pricy. If they would lower there prices 10-15% it would be nice. Only place in the city with Rumpwax.
