Bluebird has a good reputation for its range of hash and grass, its food and its multi-lingual staff. Located in an unusual, quite modern, building in a street that's very different to those in the nearby Red Light District. That's because it was part of the old Jodenhoek (Jewish district) that was emptied and then dismantled during the horrors of WW2. Further remodelling took place with the, controversial, construction of the metro. Although the space is not huge, it's divided into three distinct zones. On the ground floor is a small coffee bar area. Up the stairs to the right is the food and (non-alcoholic) drinks bar. Seating in this area consists of tall stools. We once watched an extreme sports video in this corner, which is odd because several on-line guides make a point of mentioning that there are no TVs or videos! To the left, around the dealer's counter, is a chill out area where you can try out your purchase in comfort. That's assuming that the sofas aren't already full.

This place had some great bud. Their setup is a little broken up with a small downstairs entry area before some steep little dutch steps up to a bar and a couple smoking areas. They had some amazing Amnesia Haze which was their Cannabis Cup entry. Definitely one of my favorite buds smoked in Amsterdam yet.
