Great location great staff and great WEED!
They have a decent selection of pot. I'm not picky at all and these prices are tough to beat. Plus Steve was very helpful and I enjoy chatting with him. Highly recommend these guys!
Great place to get some good bud!
If your looking for some good bud this is the place, affordable and good weed. I would recommend this place!
$125 oz deal
Very fair price for the bud quality.
Atmosphere was homey... it's basically a house, but still welldone.
The staff are professional and friendly. Surprisingly there were no dogs.
For some reason I just expected to see dogs around.
Accessibility was good, since I parked around the corner like another review suggested.
The place to go!!
Love going to this place!!!
Our Go To Place.
This is mine and my husbands go to place. I have been to several other dispensaries and have not found the quality that they have here. The pricing is awesome and the staff knows their weed. I had a hard time parking in front and found out it was easier to pull around the block and park. They had my favorite today which is OG. I need to hurry back and and pick up my stash before it's gone, I was told not to worry there is plenty coming after a long rough summer.
2015 Looks to be a Killer!!
It's been almost 2 years since I wrote my original review, since then the shop has moved to W. 38th. but it's the same safe, friendly little house with the same friendly and knowledgeable budtenders. They will help you choose the best product for what ails you. As the years go by they keep improving their product and delivery.
Sometimes I have to wait a bit, but 80 percent of the time there is no one ahead of me. This is way faster than other places I've been.
But, what is the best thing is the buds themselves. I just got some 'Snow White' that was out of this world!!!
I think 2015 will be a killer year for the buds and the budtenders at this location
The staff at At Home Remedies is very knowledgeable about their strains and very friendly. I have decided to make this dispensary my go to dispensary. And lets not forget their Blueberry Durbin from here is awesome. The potency and flavor are the best I have ever come by.
Not for me
This wasn't the easiest to access, and was as other reviews suggest a chaotic dispensary. I got there about 15mins after it opened and was asked to wait while things were set up and papers were arranged etc- I wanted to try several strains but was told I could divide the $150 oz into 1/4th's. Most all the jars had no discernible smell, most smelled a little like hay with some having tones of terps- I left with Purp Flo, Hash Plant, DeathStar and a Blueberry hybrid based on prior exp. w the strains and they seemed to be the best looking of the available meds- None were impressive except the Purple Flo- Not sure maybe the strains are just hit or miss but I've found much better meds for the same price very close by so I'll not be returning- Also the house BHO was some of the harshest I've had from any dispensary so use w caution
IMHO review of At Home Remedies, Inc. - Highlands
I went to At Home Remedies to check out their $150 ounces (final price - taxes included) of any in house flower.
Location: At Home Remedies is found along the western border of The Highlands, located on West 38th Avenue on the northeastern corner of Wolff Street. The shop (a small tan house) is only discernible from the surrounding homes by the small sign out front. Parking is non-existent, so you will likely have to do as I did and park on Wolff Street and walk a short distance.
Once you step into the front door you will find yourself on a small porch/waiting area, and as there was no one ahead of me I stepped directly into the bud room, which is basically a small living room. Things are a bit... chaotic inside. The owners run their entire business from this home, and once I stepped through the threshold I found a small television on a desk playing old westerns while the co-owner, Shirley, sat at a desk working on a giant pile of paperwork at a desktop computer. There are piles of papers all over the place. It was a rather cramped affair. 3.8/5.0
Budtender: my budtender was the owner, Chris. He is a middle-aged man with a deep tan. He was curt and mostly interested in getting down to the business of selling me flower. Shirley was quiet through 95% of my visit. Another patient came into the waiting area about five minutes after I arrived, which seemed to fluster Chris. He wasn't unhappy about it so much as he seemed to be flustered that additional work was ahead of him.
The entire visit was lengthy and awkward. Since this is a true "mom & pop" shop, they don't have a lot of the convenience features of other shops. All the flower was placed into plastic sandwich bags, and photocopied slips of paper with the strain name and shop info were tossed in to identify. I wasn't offered a receipt. The entire time I was there it was quiet, and the little small talk that we did make seemed a bit forced. It's fine - I wasn't there to chat so much as check out their product. 4.0/5.0
Product: I initially came in to take a look at two strains - Grape Krush (they just ran out) and Skywalker (an almost empty jar). There were approximately 14-16 available strains to chose from. Much of what I saw was loose and leafy, and many jars were mostly shake. I asked to see El Commandante (a decent Indica), Chocolope (a very loose Sativa that did not impress), Juliette (tighter buds, lots of orange hairs, and the surprise of the visit - very good), and lastly I asked for a recommendation and Chris provided me with Lamb's Bread (a decent looking and smoking Sativa).
I knew coming in that it was unlikely that I would find best-of-show buds at this price range, and for the record the flower was about average for the price. 4.0/5.0
Pricing: all ounces are $150, and they will let you mix-and-match generally down to quarters. I selected a half ounce for $80 (taxes included) and asked if he could provide me with four 1/8ths so I could check out the selection. Chris told me he normally does not do this, but would make an exception for me this trip. 4.8/5.0
Discount: none - there was no "first time" offer made, and for the price it is understandable. 3.0/5.0
Overall: this dispensary is close to my house, and based on their pricing it was worth my time to stop in and check them out. I would definitely return for the Julliete, and I like the Lamb's Bread enough that I would give it a shot again. 3.8/5.0
