530 collectiveMedical Dispensaries / Redding/Mt. Shasta (59,633 hits)
I have been to dispensaries all over Northern California, including the Bay Area, and never have I been talked to the way I was today. After months of exclusively using this collective, spending a minimum of $500 -1000 a month on average, I will never set foot in this place. The budtender I had was someone I never encountered before, was attempting to be 'helpful' but telling me what strains I should use even when I explained they exasperated my chronic illness; she basically kept saying I was 'wrong'. That was only part of the argument...the other was me asking about another strain they didn't have because my caretaker had seen the sample I brought back before and suggested I get it again (she asked if my caretaker was registered or a member of the collective, because I only mentioned them seeing my meds...didn't know someone LOOKING at my meds was illegal). The point here, she was not at ALL treating me with the compassionate care I have come to expect based on past experiences in nearly EVERY collective I have ever visited (including this one). The really awful part was when I called to complain...the manager proceeded to lecture me on how this is her 'job' and that I had no right to be upset. Really? I am a patient, who came in sick looking for meds and all I got was interrogation, aggravation and then being told how dare I "threaten" to write a review or tell my friends how I was treated. You beat your ass I am saying something to all the people I referred to this collective! Apparently the manager is a bio-engineer? Up to date on the 'ten thousands' journals published weekly so they k ow what is better for the patient, than the patient? As someone who has treated their chronic illness for 20 years (mine was an original illness covered under 215), I think I know what strains work and what ones have caused such inflammation I couldn't get out of bed (like the 'top shelf' strain the budtender was trying to push). No thanks. I can take my business somewhere else.
i'l be going back again
the people where friendly even though i got there just before closing on a sunday the sing up process quick and easy they gave me a good tour of the medication room the flower selection was lacking a little i would like to see more of a selection they had allot of other medicine to chose from when it came to edibles and tinctures and the smoking accessories selection was nice to i'm definitely going back again
They should change Bud Quality to Quality Bud when it comes to the bud at the 530 collective in Shasta Lake. In addition to the bud, they have a wide range of edibles and concentrates for anyone in need of relief.
The staff at 530 is first-class. I've been in there many times and have always been treated with respect and kindness. The staff at 530 also has a great understanding of their product's and the potential effects of each. They all work well together and are fun people to be around. Thanks 530.
Let the Good Times Roll!
530 is a sight for sore eyes indeed. From the bud to the bud-tenders it all looks good.
Daenerys has always scared me, I'm not ready to face her dragons yet so I go to 530 collective. I really enjoy the variety of medicine at the 530. They do a great job of consistently bringing in new products. I'm always amazed at the next and best thing in the medical cannabis industry, and 530 seems to have gotten the memo. From top shelf, to hash, to oils, to waxes, to crumbles, to mids, to mex they got it a1!
The staff are all great. I've never had a negative experience with any of the people here, to the contrary actually.
I think the prices are reasonable when you take all factors into consideration. They are one of the only collectives for a lot of people in the area so naturally they win. And when you need top notch medicine (waxes, meddies, oils) you can't go to Willie Nelson down the street most times. Also, I don't mind paying the prices because of the aforementioned expansion/new products. I'm thankful that I can test these newer products out while the oppressed thc states like Oklahoma and Kansas have no idea. And lastly, 530 gets the job done for presentation. Everything is arranged very well within the medicine room IMO. The Sharpies on the black bags with the 530 logo are also appealing, even down to the labeling on the hash and other products. It's obvious there was time spent and thought being put into the more minor details of 530 which is why I'll pay the "extra" buck as some here would say.
The only qualm I would have about accessibility, is the lack of accessibility to some of the ladies phone numbers who work there. Too far...ok nvermind. 530 is a great club though. Highly recommended.
time to find a new club

I guess the club would appear top quality in prices and quantity of affordable medicine, but can't have it all. They suffer from lack of quality medicine, their prices are expensive for the area, never the same medicine the next day visit. the out fit has gone downhill since opening years ago.

This place is the best!
Was time to give this place it's due after the phenomenal Agent Orange and Cherry Pie it's had in there recently. Next level medicine fur sure. The taste, smell, aftertaste, effects were off the charts for me personally.
The staff is great, they greet you when you come in and make you feel better than you did when you walked in. When you walk in to the medicine room for the first time, take your time, there's a lot going on and a lot to see if you feel me, don't be afraid to ask ?s about what you are specifically looking for. This place will take good care of you!
Best of the two clubs in the area
Not a lot of competition around the area so they can afford to get away with $13 a gram plus tax with no price break on anything except ounces. The top shelf is usually extremely potent although not that tasty or fresh, the really inexpensive shelf has a few gems here and there and the edibles are pretty potent and very tasty. Budtenders are really friendly for the most part, everyone has their bad days. One of the female budtenders is one of the most attractive women in Shasta county so that's also a plus. The only two negatives are the price and the fact they run out of strains so quickly. I don't think I've ever seen a batch last more than 4 or 5 days on the long side if it's really good more like a day or two and it's gone again. Sometimes they literally have 3(three) top shelf strains to choose from so you never really know what to expect from the menu.
Solid collective, nice people.

Overall, I've had a good experience with the 530 collective and it's staff.
Bud Quality- I would give this a 4.5. The top shelf I've never been disappointed by, some of the stuff on their middle shelf has been so so once or twice, there is usually at least 1 gem on the $5.50/gram so take advantage of that.
Atmosphere- Good quality atmosphere, music at the right volume, plenty of seating, something to read while you wait. I am allergic to big hairy dogs which sometimes greet you, but for the few minutes I'm in there it isn't bad, and you can always tell the dog to go lay down if you are allergic or ask the staff to do so or wait outside until you can go back and get your medicine. They keep the inside lobby as clean as possible the 15+ times I've been in there.
Staff- The staff definitely gets a 5+, they are all really pleasant to begin with and at worst friendly when they aren't at 100%. They have a good rhythm between the staff at the front desk and the medicine room to keep the traffic coming and going as smooth as possible. They are very knowledgeable about their products. They will give you as much or little info as you'd like on each product they have. I have also appreciated their honesty when they have told me they didn't have reviews on a product or it was new as opposed to pushing it as "great." They always weigh you a bit over as well which is nice.
Accessibility- Easy access, never had any issues parking. The only advice I would have is to scrap the menus in the lobby area, if you go in there and look at that your first few times you will soon realize the items on the menu do not correlate with the items in the backroom except for possibly a few. Man, I really wanted that Lemon Haze and Northern Lights! If you have a lot of rotating products then the menu serves no purpose but deception in that case. I would much rather see something much more simplified, your mainstay edibles (prices), your prices of each gram of cannabis (strains not necessary), prices of your hash, oils, tinctures, topicals, etc. That would also give the customers an idea of what they want to spend before entering the medicine room and not the false idea of that top shelf strawberry cough and blueberry kush they were excitedly waiting for. Also, sometimes they can be out of concentrates for days at a time which can be disappointing.
Price- Good price, great value and some nice strains on their lower shelf.
Overall the people are all great, and the medicine is very good.
