I can smell the greed from here
Why is it more expensive? No laws have changed.
Confused...Thought you were trying to help?
I am a client who is very sick and poor and so the powers that be at 101 North have blessed me with weekly credit which I am very grateful for. However, all of the sudden there is a policy that if you are a credit client you aren't eligible for the sale prices. For example if I come in on the day they have half off edibles and buy 5 $20 edibles I would leave owing nothing ( 5 * 20 = 100, 100/2= 50) Now for that same purchase I have to spend $50 and use my $50 credit, the same amount in cash as all the other customers that the collective isn't trying to help extra plus that extra help I'm supposed to be getting. I don't understand the point of having a program to help people who need extra help and then putting limitations on it. I'd rather not have the credit than be treated like I'm doing something wrong by using it to try get myself the best and most medicine I can.
this place is welcoming an a nice place to go. I like how they have a place to sit an relax an use your meds.

Gotta love a 50% off wax day!
Went in on Wed to pick up some wax and what not. I bought a couple of the medix prefilled vape carts. I was pretty surprised when the budtender told me that the particular carts they had in stock were $30 instead of the $25 listed price because they were 80%. I've never heard of pricing the carts differently based on potency but with 50% off it was still a great deal. I think the low cost waxes must sell out very quickly because again the cheapest one was $25. Both times I've gone the online menu was about 4-5 days old so keep that in mind. I'm not complaining, most 4-5 day old menus would have stuff listed that already sold out, just trying to give an accurate review of my experience.
I also picked up some of the $5 purple queen which was pretty good. Definitely better than you could get most places for anywhere near that price. So thanks again for another great visit.
-- Side note--
I was unable to get the medix cart to work right the way it was, it had an awful burning/dry hit taste. I ended up adding some peg 400 to thin out the oil and now it's working great. Has anyone else had this problem? If so how did you fix it?
Thank you for your review! Please know that we have a return policy ...anytime you have an issue with any of the products, please feel free to return them for exchange or refund! Your meds MUST work for you! Medx is just one of the many vape tanks we carry, and while we have not had an issue with their product to date, we will check them all to be sure they have the same quality we all expect. Medx also has 3 different extraction methods...Coldwater, CO2 and BHO which is why they have different potency and prices. For best results, they recommend you use a lower voltage battery pack. High voltage batteries tend to burn the wicks and then the product. We hope that helps and hope to see you at Free Food Friday!
I come here as much as I can.
Thank you for your review. Spaghetti Feed today! Hope to see you there!
Went Saturday for the first time and had a great experience. The first time check-in is a little longer than some but that is because they are not just a dispensary so there is more to explain. The atmosphere is relaxed, homey, and comfortable; while waiting in "line" for the dispensary you sit in a little lounge area where you can peruse the testing binders and eat samples. When it is your turn the budtender comes to the sofa area to see who's next vs. just yelling which I thought was nice. In the actual dispensary area there are two counters that are pretty separate, patient privacy!! The way many dispenaries have their counters has long been a pet peeve of mine; at most your standing right next to someone else and the music is often really loud so you have to shout your potentially private or at least not public medical info.
The staff were all nice and the manager went way out of her way to help me-they seem very private about employee names so I don't want to post it. I ended up having to come in twice so I dealt with two budtenders and they both seemed very patient and knowledgeable about the meds.
I do wish they tested more, especially the concentrates, not so much for potency but for residual solvents in bho, and that they had a co2 oil at a lower price point - I've seen something called essence extracts (not the one by the Herbsmith) from a company in WA I believe, it's co2 oil (I think) that is decarboxylated and winterized and is cheaper, usually $30 a gram but I've seen it as low as $20. Also what they had as far as waxes was totally different than the menu- I paid $25 for a gram of Tuxedo concentrates og kush but it's on the menu for $20. Also there was listed the mystery wax at $5 1/2 gram but the cheapest wax they had was $25 a gram. I think the flower menu was pretty accurate though.
I also think it's important to note that this collective seems to be very committed to their patients, they have multiple generous compassion programs to help people afford their meds. But they don't stop there they have many other services to help their patients have better lives.
I bought some $5 a gram flower that was great (it smells good, isn't super dry, isn't all shaggy and leafy, and tastes delicious) it would probably be considered midgrade at another club $35-$40 an eighth. I also bought some wax which so far looks pretty good.
Overall I really like this collective and will definitely be back, I just wish I lived closer.
UPDATE... Response to dispensary
You should tell your budtenders about the testing I asked both of them about testing on the concentrates, specifically for residual solvents, the first guy said he wasn't sure if you tested the concentrates but that you guys do lab testing on Thursdays. The second guy said just flat the you don't test concentrates. I didn't see any concentrate results there were two binders that said flower that I looked at- but I didn't get to look that closely mostly just flipped through so it could have been there.
As for the product I mentioned as I said I've seen it in many dispensaries so while the company may be based out of WA I assume they have something in CA, as I highly doubt that other reputable collectives and dispensaries are illegally smuggling in their products.
I don't see why it was necessary to respond to my overall positive review so condescendingly. "We prefer to stay open and not violate clear cut laws about interstate drug transport and conspiracy." I mean was it really necessary to say this? I'm not an idiot and know that carrying something that is still considered a drug by the federal government across state lines is HIGHLY ILLEGAL and dangerous and that any reputable dispensary or collective is going to make sure they acquire the meds legally (at least by the state) and certainly don't want to do things that could bring federal attention, considering that just by being in business you are already breaking clear cut federal law about drug possession and distribution. I was just making a suggestion about a potential product that I thought was a LESS expensive CO2 oil, at another dispensary it was sold to me as CO2 oil but it's definitely possible that their budtender was wrong. I know that you have CO2 oil it's just expensive but I see this month you have a 50% off day so there you go that solved my problem for now at least. Was it really necessary to nit pick everything I said that was maybe sort of negative? Also for the record there were at least four errors in the wax menu, I just didn't think it necessary to list all of them but even in the review listed two errors not one, there were two or three things listed that weren't in stock, the price on the og kush, and the price of one of the others(that one was listed higher online than I paid by $5). I don't know about the more expenssive products, I have extremely limited funds so I only asked about the lower priced waxes. Almost all the menus on weedmaps have some errors, stuff sells out or someone makes a mistake, unless you have someone checking and updating it just about everyday there's going to be mistakes and I know this. I wasn't complaining about the menu just trying to give an accurate review of my experience, which was that the really low cost waxes were sold out and a couple of things were priced wrong so to be mindful of the price listed, if while in the store I had realized the difference I'm sure something could have been done (however as I noted it ended up evening out for me). A simple "we do our best to keep the menu accurate" vs. arguing with me over semantics would have been nice, your LOL didn't make it any less condescending. I guess though the more accurate statement would be when it came to the low priced waxes the menu was pretty different online. Is that better for you? LOL
Thank you for joining our collective! We are glad you like the set up. We are not private about our worker/members names you may post them (and I will try and find out why you had gotten that impression). We have no female managers but Im glad the person helping you was so knowledgeable you felt they were management! Im sorry we can not carry the concentrate you requested, if it is made in Washington, bringing it into our collective would be HIGHLY ILLEGAL and EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. We prefer to stay open and not violate clear cut laws about interstate drug transport and conspiracy. Also, this product is, as was shown to me, alcohol extracted then Decarbed (heated) then winterized (Frozen) and washed....that is quite a bit of processing. We carry several EXCELLENT CO2 products from Pop Naturals, Kushy Punch and several other companies. ALL of our BHO and CO2 products ARE tested for residuals and those results are on the same sheets in the books with the THC test results...we are very sorry if you missed them.
As for our concentrate menu being "Completely different". Everything on there is currently in stock and on the floor, I will have a talk with the floor manager about keeping the floor inventory stocked. Perhaps there is a pricing issue on the OG I will Check and correct, but one minor issue is not a completely different menu LOL! Also new in stock today: Grape Ape, Cherry Bomb and $5 Blue Dream is back in stock! First come first serve! Take care many blessings!- NLDS
The bud is hit or miss
They'll have some good strains but most are subpar especially at 10 a gram. The Queen, and J's Blue Ice are the best.
Hello Member! Please refer to the lab results that are in the binders on the table in the waiting area. They will describe each strain and the THC CBD amounts and pest/mold clearance. We are glad that the Blue Ice and Queen work well for you! While they are not the highest scoring meds we have, they certainly are pretty and taste fantastic! We still highly encourage you to check out the binders so you can enhance your experience! Have a wonderful weekend!- NLDS
