History:
The Healthy Choice caregiver team has served medical marijuana patients in Madawaska and beyond for more than six years. The founder, fascinated by cannabis, always wondered why it was illegal when it could offer so much relief. He worked with caregivers at the inception of Maine’s medical program, volunteered at dispensaries and helped launch other cultivators. The founder, unimpressed with many of the practices of other organizations, decided to branch off and start his own delivery service where he could aid patients on his terms. Thus, The Healthy Choice began and has served patients in Madawaska and across Aroostook County for more than half a decade with top-quality cannabis and compassionate, personalized patient service.

Every product on The Healthy Choice menu is cultivated in-house, handled with love and personalized care. They rotate through 9 flower strains with some BHO-crafted concentrates, topicals, and salves available. Flower is The Healthy Choice’s specialty, with their Sour Queen, a house cultivar for nearly a decade, one of their most popular patient picks. The Healthy Choice lab tests each of their cannabis products for potency before making them available to Madawaska patients.
Process:
To register with The Healthy Choice, new patients reach out by phone to schedule a first-time appointment. At this time, The Healthy Choice’s delivery driver will bring the caregiver designation form and validate the patient’s ID and status. The Healthy Choice requests a minimum order of a half-ounce per delivery and typically completes each order same-day.

Location Information:
Madawaska is one of Maine’s northernmost cities, located in the northern corner of Aroostook county on the St. John River and the US-Canada border. Its main road is the I-1 freeway, located an easy distance north from the shores of Long Lake. The Deboullie Public Reserved Land is several miles southwest of Madawaska and offers many acres of hiking trails and beautiful, wooded landscape.
