I was happy to see cake batter back on the menu, I quickly ordered a gram. It comes in a wonderful silicone container, which nothing can stick to.
I made my sandwich bowl, one thick layer of flower, one thin layer of concentrate, with a thin layer of flower to top it off. Light it, inhale deeply, without coughing. I hold it in, and slowly exhale, repeat . After 3 rounds of this I was smiling ear to ear. It felt like champagne bubbles, bubbling from my tummy up. I was a little gigglie. It lasted, for some time, couldn't tell you how much. Just a great sense of well being,
The only complaint I have is the cost. at 55$ a gram. I fully understand that you get what pay for. Living on disability makes something like that a luxury. I just wish it was a little richer, or the cost was a little lower.
Thank you for providing excellence in quality care.
I always weigh my buds when I receive it from a vendor for the first time I was disappointed to weigh out my first 1/8 at 3.2 grams will not buy again
Hello "Problem." The issue you addressed above is both disconcerting and troubling for us here at Hip Joynt. In terms of the amount of flower in your container, our Processing Department goes to great lengths in order to ensure that all of our 1/8's containers weigh at least 3.5 grams. Despite our continually devoted and thorough efforts of confirming that all of our products contain the correct amount of medicine that we promise for our patients, we most definitely take human error into account. We understand that, unfortunately, there are, indeed, rare instances in which the amount of medicine in one of our packaged products weighs less than what was offered, which is where our incomparable customer service comes into the picture. We encourage all of our patient's to contact us IMMEDIATELY if the medicine they donated for does not satisfy them so that we can rectify the specific issue they may have as soon as possible. Furthermore, one of our customer service standards is following up with each and every one of our new patients the day after they sign up with us. We do this in order to ensure that they are satisfied with their medicine, and that they felt taken care of by our dispatch and drivers. We noticed in your review that this was your "first time" with our delivery service-- what we find so troubling is how a 3.2 gram eighth managed to slip through the cracks despite our numerous efforts of ensuring satisfaction among our patients. We welcome you to contact us and have us make this right for you if somehow all of our efforts to ensure your satisfaction didn't reach you.
I have been living with chronic pain since 1999. Throughout that time I have tired so many different remedies, from light therapy to getting my inner energy realigned. There hasn't been any one thing that has removed the pain, but a combination of different treatments seems to be the best route for me.
I have found that edibles is a key ingredient for me. The different types of edibles doesn't seem to matter in my case. Its more about taste preference, potency and the cbds. After about 20-30 mins from eating the edible, the effects can be felt. For myself, I experience a full body effect. I feel relaxed, the tension from the chronic pain is lower. Within an hour or so, I know whether or not I've got the correct dosage. One of two things will happen, if I ate too much, I'll be sleeping. If I'm awake, I feel little to no anxiety, and my body is relaxed. I find myself not needing to smoke, sometimes I'll go all day without smoking- I don't even think about it, because I'm feeling good enough. The effects last about 8-10 hours.
Rarely can I achieve this feeling thru smoke. With an edible its every time. I don't get the "munchies" or a feeling of being, "high". It is a body high, but my mind is clear. Its great if I'm going to an event where smoking isn't permitted. As long as I dont eat too much.
You have to find out for yourself what is the right amount. Your body size doesn't matter, like with alcohol. Since the effect of an "over-dose" is sleep. I like the candies for this trial an error process. They have 15 mg of thc which is a small amount. Eat one or two, wait about an hour- you may want to set a timer to keep you on track. As you continue to use edibles you may find your tolerance goes up after a while. If this happens you can either take a break from them, or increase your dosage.
Hip Joynt has an amazing array of different edibles to try, All are excellent quality and made with high standards.
Thank you as always for providing my with the best choices in all that you sell.
Hi, Mrselise! It is always such a genuine pleasure to read your wonderful reviews of our service and products. While it (obviously) saddens us that our Mrselise has been living with chronic pain for such a long time, it also brings an important fact about our customer service to light, which is that, after reading this, we mentally noted that we had spoken to you before about your medical history, which not only speaks volumes about how trusting and wonderful almost all of our patients are, but it also assists us TREMENDOUSLY in personally curating the right medicinal cannabis products for your individual medicinal needs. As with most types of medicine and healing, everybody has their own individual reaction to healing methods and their own individual way of living and coping with medical issues. Sadly, due to medicinal cannabis having a relatively recent resurgence despite our lawmakers continuing to systematically and institutionally brainwash our society with false information while they giggle all the way to the bank with their BFF, Big Pharma, there has been a severe lack of research on medicinal cannabis that is not being funded for some WEIRD reason. *steps off of soapbox* ANYWAY, the writer of this is a reiki practitioner herself, and she can definitely say that healing is almost never caused by one thing nor HEALED by one thing, but it is rather a collection of variables. While medicinal cannabis has been a mainstay panacea for this writer for the past eleven years, it's also pertinent that she incorporates other natural methods of healing in order for a whole healing effect. It is absolutely FANTASTIC that eating edibles has proven to be the most efficient method of ingestion of cannabis for you, as they are, as we're sure you already know, the healthiest, least wasteful, and most cost-effective method of medicating with cannabis. And you're absolutely right with your astute observation regarding how one's body size is not a factor when taking one's potential reaction to medibles into consideration. Another reason why edibles are so wonderful is due to the fact that the THCV cannabinoid is only synthesized in the liver, so all of the benefits of this particular cannabinoid are lost when cannabis is smoked, vapourized, or ingested in any other way that doesn't involve eating it. One of the benefits of the THCV cannabinoid is that it is an appetite suppressant, which might explain why you are finding that you don't get the "munchies" when you consume edibles. And yes, as one continues to eat edibles, patient's may find that, like with many other medicines, their tolerance may begin to go up, but as you said, all one has to do is take a little break from them or increase one's dosage! :) We're SO thrilled that you not only enjoy our edibles, but that they work so effectively for you. We truly put our hearts and souls into everything that we do here at Hip Joynt, and we've been particularly focused on our Sky Fire Edibles. More and more patients are finding that they are far more healing than pharmaceuticals or other medicinal remedies, and we are currently working on expanding our line of edibles so that our diabetic patients can enjoy them, or our patients who can't tolerate gluten in their diet. You'll definitely be seeing some new things in the near future, and we can't WAIT for you to try them! Thanks so much, again, Mrselise, and we look forward to helping you again soon!
I love the CC cookie, I'm always on the lookout for more/better. So I tired the Brookie.
It looks exactly as it is. A brownie with a chocolate chip center. Its shape is more muffin, I think of brownies as rectangular. The brownie is dry, so grab a glass of milk. Its taste is good, not too thcy tasting.
I felt relief from anxiety, and pain. I ate the entire brookie throughout the day.
I think the Chocolate Chip cookie is the better of the two
Thank you for providing me with so many choices
Hello, Mrselise! Thank you (once again) for leaving such a thorough and thoughtfully worded review on one our of classic products-- the Brookie! Thank you for reminding patients to consume the Brookie with a glass of milk (soy/rice/coconut/almond/cashew milk all okay, too!), as it not only renders the Brookie generally more palatable, but also, the lipids in the milk work in a synergistic manner with THC when being processed in the liver, allowing patient's to gain full potency and efficacy of their edible. We are so pleased to be able to provide our lovely patient's with such a wide range of incredible edible options! Keep an eye out for even more new cannabis confections that we will have available in the not-so-distant future! (Think gluten-free, sugar-free, vegan yumminess!) Thanks, again!
I felt the force after smoking Jedi. How is it possible that every time I order new things, I make an addition to my favorite list.
The Jedi has a sweet almost minty taste. The effects were, elevated mood, increased appetite, happy, talkative, and relaxation. it reduced my pain level by a few points. It lasted for more than an hour, give or take. I loved this when I need to medicate and still function. I felt elevated, but productive. I have yet to "dab". I'm ancient, 45, and these are new ways are as foreign to me. I will take your advice and try to dab, and see the differences.
I look forward to ordering this again.
Can you please explain to me the difference between, full and half melt, shatter, crumble, hash and wax. The only concentrate I knew was kif, other then that, all the concentrates are a mystery.
My limited experiences with concentrates served on wax papers, has been disastrous. It melted into my fingers like lotion. Even after I kept it in the freezer, if it didn't disappear into my hands, it melted into the wax paper, while I was trying to use it. Frustrated, I won't order anything unless kept in a plastic or silicon containers.
Thanks as always, for excellences in customer services, products, and drivers.
Oh, Mrselise-- your hilarious and incredibly well-written reviews of our products always make our day here at Hip Joynt! We are SO crazy about this crumble, and it has a magical way of awakening the force within us every time we dab with it! :D We're elated that it helped alleviate your symptoms so well. There's truly nothing better than that at the end of the day. And, Mrselise, if you are ancient at the ripe ol' age of 45 (40 is the new 20, girl!), then the writer of this response (who is 30), is officially Betty White. :P All jokes aside, I was initially intimidated by dabbing for nearly 7 years (which is only about how long it has been around), and while I would use crumble as a topper on my flower, it was actually two things that deterred me from dabbing, which were 1. None of my friends dabbed, so I didn't really have anybody to guide me, and 2. Using a torch lighter. Eeesh! However, about three months ago, I "took the plunge," so to speak, and I couldn't be happier, nor more surprised with how easy it all was. However, I would absolutely recommend actually dabbing with somebody who knows how to "guide you" to so speak-- as I'm sure you're familiar with, each different method of ingesting cannabis produces different types of relief and sensations. The difference between full-melt and half-melt is in regards to hashish, a concentrate of cannabis, which has been around for thousands of years and was the predominant method of ingesting cannabis, especially in eastern cultures, up until the turn of the last century when cannabis suddenly turned into "marijuana" when William Randolph Hearst declared an imaginary war against migrant Mexican farm-workers (WHAT?)-- how silly of me, I meant to say "drugs." *eye roll* ANYWHO, it makes us Hashionista's sad to see so many patients of all ages and from all different walks of life who either don't know how to smoke hash or even what hash is. It can be regular, half-melt, or full-melt, and the melts are in regards to, literally, how quickly they melt when one smokes it. While many patients sprinkle hash atop their bowls or joints, many patients chose to smoke it directly on a metal screen in their bowl because, unlike shatter, it can be lit directly and decarboxolated (no torch lighters needed!). Shatter, crumble, and wax are extracts of cannabis, and the only real difference between them is their individual consistencies. One of the best ways to explain cannabis extracts, or "dabbables", is to compare it on a molecular level to sugar-- depending on the amount of kinetic energy used (similar to when one makes toffee and has to consistently stir the product) and the amount of heat used in the process of extraction is what ultimately determines the physical outcome of the each type of extract. Another difference with extracts is how the type of medication they deliver-- it is a STRONG blast of concentrated THC/cannabinoids that is good for patient's needing instantaneous, potent relief. However, the effects are not nearly as long-lasting as any of the other methods of ingesting cannabis. The effects of dabbing can last anywhere from 5 to POSSIBLY an hour if one is simply taking the fact that it made fall asleep. For an excellent "Beginner's Guide" to dabbing, I suggest this article from High Times written in October of last year. http://www.hightimes.com/read/5-things-every-first-time-dabber-goes-through While I've found that since keeping my extracts in a dark, cool place (and sometimes even my fridge), I have had less of a problem with them melting. However, we do sometimes have the issue of residue sticking to the wax paper, which, about a year ago, was just an unfortunate reality of dabbing, whereas now, with the improvement of the quality and production of extracts, we find that this is happening to us and our patients far less. While we have yet to package our extracts in silicone containers, they do sell them for relatively cheap at smoke stores, which is my preferred method of keeping my crumble, and it might help you as well. :) Thank you for being one of the best patient's EVER, Elise!! We hope you had the best 420 ever, and we look forward to hearing for you again soon!
I was excited to see one of my favorites, KKBC. I live with RSD/CRPS II- chronic pain . Sleeping is difficult for me too. So I'm all about pain reduction, appetite inducer, sleep aid, a sense of well being. So that is my focus in my orders.
Kosher Kush Blonde Crumble was available, so I grabbed it up.
Its taste is sweet, and a little earthy. The effects began about 5 minutes after my first hit, the full effects took about 20 minutes, I felt mellow, relaxed, and a little hungry, After 2 bowls frosted flakes cereal, I was ready for sleepy time. I was so relaxed, and felt so pliable. I'd guess the effects lasted 2 hours or more.
The only problem I've had with it is this; If your hands are warm or whatever you use to extract the KKBC from the container, it will melt. I used my fingernail to scoop some out, it began to melt and I tried to put what I could into the bowl. Alas, it was too late, my kosher krumble, became lotion. Also,as you manipulate it, it bunches up, into blobs that is hard to separate. It seemed to melt away .
Can you keep the concentrate in the refrigerator???
Thanks again for doing what your doing. Keep doing what you do, cause its awesome!!
Hello hello, Mrselise! It is always such a pleasure to read your kind, gracious, well-written descriptions and reviews of our products, as well as your experiences with us from the patient's perspective. And while we know that our patient's (and ourselves) use cannabis to medicate with, we don't always know what health issues our patients are actually medicating, and since there is such a vast array of diseases, disorders, syndromes, and various other adverse health issues that cannabis has been proven to greatly improve and even cure, we certainly don't have the capacity to play guessing games. However, when we are lucky enough to have made our patient's feel comfortable enough to tell us what they specifically medicate with cannabis for, it assists us tremendously in not only helping our patient's find the most appropriate medicine for them possible, but it is also a wonderful resource for helping other patients with similar conditions. We are beyond grateful that not only such a beautiful, healing plants exists, but that we are also able to provide this incredible plant to wonderful patient's such as yourself with the medicinal relief they need. In response to your review on KKBC (one of our personal favourites!): we are SO glad we're not the only one's who eat two bowls of frosted flakes before going to bed. Hehe, just kidding-- all jokes aside, though, it is such a comfortably potent medicine that is truly a blessing. While all crumbles/extracts will melt in warmer temperatures, the KKBC is slightly more susceptible to melting due to the purity of its extraction. Now that the weather has warmed up a bit, we most definitely recommend that you always store your KKBD (and whatever future extracts you donate for in the future) in a cool, dry place to prevent it from melting. However, despite the melting, it still works just fine (lucky for the writer of this review!). We also would like to recommend that you purchase a dab tool. They can be purchased from any local tobacco shop or online and can be purchased for less than $5. Before the write of this review purchased an oil rig and began dabbing, she would sprinkle crumble on top of her bowls of flower, and while it was possible to use her hands or the side of the container, she would end up spilling/wasting a lot of her medicine because she's a space cadet. In regards to it becoming a lotion-like substance, that is the extract heating up to its original form. You may have noticed this already, but when the crumble is burnt atop your bowl, it liquefies and runs throughout the leaves of the bud. You most DEFINITELY can keep your concentrate in the refrigerator, as it most certainly will keep just fine and will not separate in anyway. It took the writer of this review about five years to finally figure out the nuances of dabbing, and she's still learning, so if you have any additional questions, PLEASE don't hesitate to ask us! Thank you again, Mrselise! You are truly a treasured patient. :)
I tried Superglue for the first time. They were out of what I had ordered, the girl recommend Superglue as a alternative. It was delivered in a larger then normal container. I discovered, this was because the nugs were so ginormous, it couldn't all fit in a regular container.
I loaded a bowl with flower and a layer of the glue..... The taste was sweet and mellow, without a cough. The high was long lasting and mellow. It wont sink you into a couch and Superglue you to a cushion. It provided pain relief and relaxation. Not much of an appetite inducer. This will go on my list of reorder!
Thanks again for excellence.
Hi, Mrselise! We are SO thrilled that you have found a new hashy love in our Superglue Full-Melt! It is most definitely one of our personal favourite night-time meds right now. It is such a good point that this Indica-dominant hash has almost all of the attributes of a strong Indica strain with the exception of couch-lock (and isn't it ironic that the strain's name is "Superglue," as it most certainly WON'T superglue you to a cushion, hehe!), which is fantastic as it renders it a very functional strain of highly medicinal cannabis. Thank you, once again, for another one of your wonderfully insightful reviews-- our patient's genuine feedback helps us SO much, especially when it comes to helping our patients on an individual basis. You are a truly treasured and valued patient, Mrselise! Thank you, thank you, thank you! And STAY ELEVATED! :D
There was a dispensary I frequented which sold these edible caramels, Alas, the dispensary closed, bye bye caramels. Hello Butterscotch!! The taste was very close to the flavor of the caramels. The candies were softer and more granulated, but oh so tasty!! I'll attempt to explain how it tastes. Its flavor is more cannabis the
Don't let yourself miss this treat., you'll be sorry!
Hip Joynt once again you out did your self!
I had surgery last night and the pain is really bad, so I'll let you know week how it works!
Hi Mrselise!! Thank you SO MUCH for writing such a thorough review (and comparison!) of the Butterscotch Candies! They're one of our favorite "medibles," too, and we can't wait for them to officially go on our menu, which you'll be seeing soon! We would have to agree with you about how the flavor of the candy still tastes like cannabis, but somehow tastes so GOOD! We sincerely hope that you heal from your recent surgery as quickly as possible. We'll be sure to focus on relieving your pain when you order from us next time, and we hope that the meds you just ordered are providing you with comfort and relief.
I was unhappy with one of the edible choices I made. The driver came back and exchanged it for another edible. I felt bad, but the driver assured me that Hip Joynts wants it's customers to be happy, above all else. This is the only time I've ever had a business do that. You really do care that I am satisfied!! I'm on disability and every penny counts. I feel like you feel the same about your customers as I do pennies. Thank you!
Hello, Mrselise! Your kind words always brighten up our day here at Hip Joynt. :) Don't feel bad about an exchange-- we GENUINELY want our patient's to be 100% satisfied 100% of the time. Happy, satisfied patient's make everything that we do and stand for worthwhile. It makes us sad that Mrselise hasn't experienced this with other businesses in the past. :( Medical cannabis is a burgeoning new industry, and it's fueled by passionate people who (literally) have to fight for what we do for a living. Here at Hip Joynt, as patient's ourselves, we know how remarkable the healing properties of cannabis truly are from first-person perspectives-- it only feels right to share that with the world! And we want to ensure that all patient's have access to quality, affordable medicine, no matter what one's income is, so we'll always be sure that you receive the most quality medicine for your money. You are truly a treasure, Elise. Thank you for all of your kind words, once again, and we look forward to speaking with you soon! Have a glorious weekend!
Well, it had to happen eventually, I received something I didn't like. I ordered an edible, that they were unfortunately out of. Mizuki Mix was suggested , I had no idea what it was, and with the choppiness of the call it was difficult to understand the description. Had I known what it was Mizuki Mix, I would have told her I didnt like those, but I couldn't understand what she was saying.
One thing that has also been a little confusing is the content of the edibles. The sky candies say 60mg THC, I thought each of the four candies had 60mg, not the four combined. Maybe the packaging could reflect this.
Other then that, everything else was great and I look forward to the next order. Thank you for providing great products with dignifying customer service,
Hello again, Mrselise! We are so sorry to hear about your dissatisfaction with our Mizuki Mix. Being patient's ourselves, we can definitely relate, since, as with all edibles, it is sometimes difficult to determine whether something will be as palatable in its cannabis-infused variation as it is in its non-medicated version. However, I think this was a slightly different situation, as it sounds like you had possibly tried the Mizuki Mix already in the past and knew that you didn't like it, and/or our phones decided to go into ultra-choppy mode while our dispatcher was giving you the description of our Mizuki Mix. Whatever the case may have been, the only thing that matters to us at the end of the day is the satisfaction of our patient's. With that having been said, we would like to extend our refund/exchange policy to you (if you weren't already familiar with it), which is a full exchange for a product of equal/similar value (even if you've already consumed a small amount of it). Also, in the future (but hopefully this won't happen again as we're getting our phones fixed), if you cannot hear something that is being said by our dispatcher over the phone, please don't hesitate to ask them to repeat what they have said however many times you may need until you can understand what is being said. We apologize profusely, once again, for the technical difficulties we have been experiencing with our phones and the subsequent frustration it has caused some of our patients.
Thank you for expressing your genuine concern in regards to our labels and how you found them confusing. We have noticed this, ourselves, and we have recently implemented changes to our labeling system in order to ensure that we retain consistency with all of our products, and that their respective labels reflect this.
Thank you SO MUCH, once again, and we look forward to hearing back from you again soon!
